Dark-money globalists
Dark-money globalists are a secretive network of billionaires and other wealthy individuals who control many politicians who seek or hold public office. In some states, such as Texas, dark-money globalists (particularly the Koch network) essentially run the state by blocking conservative legislation and pushing through globalist priorities such as the delusional Convention of States. The dark-money globalists are mostly Never-Trumpers.
Private equity fund owners and partners, who exploit a special tax loophole for them as long protected by prominent politicians such as Sen. Pat Toomey and others, are a significant percentage of the dark-money globalists.
The dark-money globalists have significant influence over some presidential candidates who cannot self-fund, including President Joe Biden, his rival Pete Buttigieg, and on the Republican side Mike Pence and Ron DeSantis. Several outspoken congressmen also appear to act, or even grandstand, at the behest of dark-money globalists, most notably Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX).
On the Republican side, dark-money globalists include:
- private equity partner Toby Neugebauer
- Texas natural gas billionaires Dan and Farris Wilks
- hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer, although he also funds some conservative causes such as Breitbart
- Kenneth C. Griffin, billionaire fund trader
- Stephen A. Schwarzman, a private equity billionaire
