The First Epistle to the Thessalonians is a letter that was written by the Apostle Paul to the church at Thessalonica. It is included in the New Testament Canon.

It is believed that Paul wrote the book while he was at Corinth, agreed in the early Christian writings starting with Marcion (140 A.D.)[1] The Epistle is generally dated to 51 A.D. based upon the dating of Gallio's procounsulship to 51-52 A.D.[2]
