Sergey Karaganov

Sergey Karaganov heads the Russian Council for Foreign and Defense Policy. He is a former advisor to Presidents Brezhnev, Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin.

In 2021 when analysts in the Russian Federation defense and foreign policy establishment heard US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and President Joe Biden both abandon the Doctrine of Deterrence and say climate change was a bigger threat than nuclear war, they realized that American leadership had lost all touch with reality.[1]
