Talk:Statism
Statism is the belief that the civil government (or man via civil government) is the ultimate authority in the earth and as such is the source of law, morality, and righteousness (that which is right and wrong).[1]
This is an example of Statism in Conservapedia:
"The guns and butter economic concept describes the government allocation to defense spending versus social programs."[2][1] The statist article claimed: "As an economy produces more guns (military spending) it must reduce its production of butter (food), and vice versa."[3] This is totally false. The Guns or butter debate is a choice policymakers must make between transferring the consumption of butter away from consumers in order to produce munitions, NOT reducing the production of butter which obviously would kill the production of munitions. The sources used are command and control, statist arguments.
See Talk:Guns or butter.
The guns OR butter debate is between government military spending vs private sector consumer choices. Unlike the Soviet Union, the United States Government DOES NOT[4] produce butter.
"Deriving their just power by the consent of the governed" - people must democratically agree to give up their right to purchase butter in order to fight a war, not have it imposed upon them top-down, as User:Conservative's statist economic theory implies.

Andy has allowed User:Conservative to spam so much liberal claptrap on the subject of war and international relations into Conservapedia, it will take years to sort it out, making Conservapedia useless as a guidepost as America faces war and a national emergency. Conservapedia needs better enforcement against spamming and trolling, even when it is done by a Senior Admin. RobSWWJD?
