Gossip someone wants to inject into Conservapedia.

Conservapedia hasn't had a problem with gossip. Most contributors to wikis are males and most men are not given to injecting gossip about other contributors.

If you could do something about the recent spate of gossip that RobSmith wants to inject into Conservapedia, it would be much appreciated. Conservapedia certainly doesn't want to embarrass itself due to gossip.

User:Conservative: Ace McWicked appears to be a divorced alcoholic who is an atheist who sleeps around with a lot of women and he recently claimed that he died due to some drug he took (If I recall correctly, it was a case of illegal drug use which required paramedics).

RobS: User:Conservative's detailed description of Ace's personal life (he left out the French Fry eating), my suspicions are true. Ace knows and understands as much about User:Conservative as User:Conservative knows and understands Ace. And it further adds to my suspicions that User:Conservative is acting like a jilted lover after Ace cut him off completely, is now clinging to me to give his life some purpose and meaning.

Ace McWicked evidently is a(n internationally) prominent individual: RationalWiki admin Ace McWicked and the consumption of the processed food macaroni and cheese. Ace McWicked flouting medical science and living an unhealthy lifestyle that could reduce his longevity. Reasoning

Now let's examine User:Conservaitve's reasoning in the case of Ace McWicked. User:Conservaiteve questions Ace's veracity in a court of law based upon User:Conservative gossiping about Ace McWicked. Ace McWicked is the victim here, not the perp of gossip. However, in User:Conservatives perverted sense of justice, the victim has no right to defend himself. Dissection of email

In the email User:Conservative sent me and supposedly Andy (I have no way of knowing) on Sept 20, 2023 he says here,

"I also worked for a sales training company in the past and went through all their training."

Without getting into what a "sales training company" is (for example Kirby Vacuum Cleaners), let's look at the effectiveness of User:Conservative's sales training:

I'm sold. User:Conservative sold me on the word "gossip". His sales training paid off. He used the term 'gossip" 5 times so it would stick in the prospects mind.

<Disclosure: I myself am a former sales trainer (trainer, not trainee), and in one 4 year period in the early 1990s trained over 5,000 sales people who averaged $15 per hour after my training. Not a bad rate of pay when the minimum wage was $5 per hour. I have a zillion stories to tell about people I thought had little or no talent and became top producers, or people I had high hopes for who turned out be lazy slouches. Moral: Don't prejudge, give everybody a chance. I also got pretty good at picking out sociopaths (though not always) when they walked thru the door. There are lots of them is sales (IOWs, "What's in it for me?" rather than "Win-Win"). In User:Conservative's case, I could probably make him a better salesman, not just in fundamental sales but advanced technique. But he's too stubborn and uncooperative to work with other people. For the record, I made my first cold call at the age of 4 with my brother who was 5 (my job was to stand there and look cute while he gave the pitch) and have tried to count a gross total of lifetime sales, including residuals, but gave up at $240,000,000. It becomes impossible to count when you sell continuing contracts.>

Why do I bring this up? Cause recent events have caused me to think about ethical issues. There are people in sales - probably more than any other field - who bring disrepute not just on the company, but the entire sales profession. And these aren't the people who flunk out, they tend to be highly successful. But as a sales trainer and manager, I have to watch out for them, and terminate them despite how much money they bring in to the company after being caught and warned for ethical violations. And who am I protecting? Myself? My fellow workers? the company? the public? Most of all the profession, cause as professional sales people, we deliver what people want and need, and benefit both the producer and consumer. Without us, the whole economy collapses. And a bad sales person only makes our job harder to regain the public's trust.

Do I think User:Conservative is a bad sales person? Probably not. If anything, he seems to be struggling at times (I am politely saying I don't think he's been all that successful). But if I had caught him in some of the technical and ethical breaches in a sales position that I see here daily, and if he failed to live up to standards after proper warnings and instructions, he'd have been gone a long time ago - and this is my own personal motivation - not to protect the company name, but the profession.

Fixing Conservapedia's main homosexuality article and other articles so they get more search engine traffic and have a better user experience

Andy, I sent you part of this message by email, but I added some additional material. Below is the full message to you.

If a website has too many dead links or if a web page has dead links on it's not a good user experience and its bad for rankings. To the search engines, it gives the impression that the website is not as well maintained as it could be if there are too many dead links. See: Link Rot – What it Is and How it Affects Rankings.

This message is about fixing Conservapedia's main homosexuality article and other Conservapedia articles so they receive more search engine traffic and have a better user experience.

Webpages that are long-form content very often rank for many keywords - not just the keyword that the article is titled.

There are tools that indicate the "dead links" on a page. These tools are publically available as browser addons. Users don't like dead links on pages and neither do search engines. For the Conservapedia homosexuality article, I will work on replacing any dead links with live links.

I may have to do it by hand. But perhaps MediaWiki has a way to automate this (I seem to recall that it might). If not, maybe David/Andy could make the process automated. Wikipedia might have some automated way to handle this, but I am not sure.

I have done computer programming professionally and I think I may be learning some additional programming skills, but at this point, I think David/Andy are more proficient programmers than me. I am rusty and I don't think the computer languages that I have programmed in would be able to automate this process.

Next, this process could be done for other important Conservapedia articles as well or perhaps all of Conservapedia's articles if the process is automated.

While there are tools that work with a browser to tell the dead links on a page, there are tools that will tell a webmaster where all of the dead links on a website are such as this one: https://ahrefs.com/broken-link-checker I possibly have access to some paid SEO tools that could possibly tell Conservapedia all of the dead links on a website, but perhaps the various plans with such tools that I have access to do not cover crawling a whole website for dead links. Also, I would like Andy to do a few very basic things for me related to Conservapedia. I also believe in reciprocity. I have helped Conservapedia in the past with my digital marketing skills.
