You think Putin doesn't know that? You think Putin is going to "bend the knee" to terrorists that Trump funds? You think Putin is going to bend the knee to alleged "conservative" "American patriot" "Christian" pro-LGBT warmongers and murderers? Not as long as he's got his finger on the nuke and an oath to uphold.

On top of the aforementioned issues related to the consequences of this war, Russia experienced a massive brain drain due to this war due to tech/educated/wealthy people fleeing Russia during the war in Ukraine.
So to answer your question, I most certainly do not believe that Putin is a wise person having foresight. If he did, he wouldn't have launched this ridiculous war. Conservative (talk) 11:32, April 3, 2025 (EDT)

Also, Russia is experiencing sky-high inflation, rising company bankruptcies, labor shortages and its risk of stagflation is ratching up. In addition, Russia has blown through much of its Soveign Fund it built up previously. It wouldn't surprise me if secondary sanctions, if they are enacted, pushes Russia's economy over the edge of the economic cliff, but maybe they will not.
