Hello, Toby Chester, and welcome to Conservapedia!
I am a contributor named DavidB4. I just want to say hello and offer any assistance you might need! Also, we have some guides which might help you get started and learn your way around if you need them.
- How to edit a website like Conservapedia - An intro on how to use Wiki code (which can be very useful if you haven't edited wikis before)
- Editor Quick Reference guide - A basic intro to how things work here
- Conservapedia's Manual of style - Extensive guide of good practices for writing and editing wiki pages
Please take a look at our rules when you get the chance. You also might want to look at the Guidelines of editing and collaborating here.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! Also we have a community portal where you can ask general questions, introduce yourself, or just comment. If you do post messages, please sign them by placing "~~~~" at the end of each one.
Thanks for joining our community, Toby Chester! We look forward to working with you!
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help! --DavidB4 (TALK) 17:33, 23 July 2019 (EDT)
Browser extension mistaken as possible vandalism
What is the meaning of this? This is technically vandalism. Please don't do this again, even if you revert yourself. --1990'sguy (talk) 08:09, 3 October 2019 (EDT)
- Hello Toby Chester, from the standpoint of someone who could only see the edit diff and not the fact you were using an extension, I think my post and overall reaction wasn't over-the-top (also, we've had actual vandals do stuff like that). Nonetheless, I apologize for putting you off.
- In the future, please be more careful when making edits, and it would be a good idea to acknowledge that it was a mistake in an edit summary to avoid confusion. (also, you did the same thing on my talk page just now): [1] --1990'sguy (talk) 22:22, 3 October 2019 (EDT)
- That does sometimes happen accidentally or for no good reason, but actually, it was sort of related in this case. It detected the machine-like text replacements and decided it looked like vandalism. I agree. Please see to it that this sort of thing doesn't keep happening. --DavidB4 (TALK) 00:00, 4 October 2019 (EDT)
