Debra Anne Haaland was appointed Commissar of the Interior by the Biden junta in 2021.
She is the Democratic former representative of New Mexico's 1st district. Haaland is half Norwegian and an enrolled member of the Laguna Pueblo, and considered one of the first two Native Americans to serve in the U.S. Congress. Haaland is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and is a supporter of the totalitarian Green New Deal.

In December 2020 the Biden junta nominated Haaland to become commissar of the Interior. In 2020, New Mexico's oil and gas severance tax contributed 33.5% of all state spending.[1] The junta's first actions on day one was to suspend all oil and gas leasing on public lands, devasting the New Mexico economy[2] which was already ranked as the 5th poorest state in the nation and reeling from Democrat covid lockdown orders. Haaland's job would be to oversee the destruction of her own state's economy and all oil producing states.
Financial irregularities
After being nominated to manage the $12 billion annual budget of the Department of the Interior, Haaland amended her Congressional ethics financial reporting statement four times, with four different versions of how much money she earned as Chair of the New Mexico Democrat party while running for Congress in the 2018 midterm elections. Haaland also filed a belated IRS tax Form 1040 for 2018 despite never filing a mandatory application for an extension of time to file. According to her fourth revision, Haaland reported earning $2,250 in 2018, or one-fifth of the poverty level despite traveling accros the state and staying in hotels while campaigning for Congress.[3]
U.S. House of Representatives
Haaland was the first member of Congress to pile on liberal hate speech based on mainstream media fake news reports toward the Catholic Covington kids in January 2019.[4]
After joining House Democrats in blocking the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act for the 80th time in August 2019 and asked about the matter, Haaland cynically replied that she supports a woman's "right" to "make her own healthcare choices without interference from politicians."[5]
As New Mexico Democratic party chair, Haaland was accused of ignoring misconduct allegations.[6]
Personal life
Haaland was arrested for DUI in the 1980s and boasts of being 30 years sober.[7]
