Everyone knows the double standard is in place. It is taken for granted so much that people barely remark upon it anymore. When someone who dissents from the Leftist agenda offends Leftist sensibilities, his or her career is ruined for good. Remember Roseanne Barr, Tim Allen, and a host of others. Now the Left has Joe Rogan in its sights for daring to dissent from COVID orthodoxy and has suddenly discovered that years ago, he used a racial slur. Spotify has removed over a hundred of his podcasts, and the end is not in sight. But if someone who is reliably Leftist says something that offends the self-appointed guardians of acceptable opinion, the punishment is slight at best, as we have just seen with Whoopi Goldberg’s two-week suspension for Holocaust denial (which doesn’t really bother the hard Left, but they have to keep up some semblance of an attachment to truth and basic decency). Joseph James "Joe" Rogan (born August 11, 1967) is an American comedian and podcast host, with "the most-streamed program on Spotify" with "more than 13 million followers on Instagram" for his podcast.[1]
He is also a, hunter, fisherman, actor, game show host, television host, and retired martial artist. He is conservative. He is from New Jersey. Animal rights activists, environmentalists, and eugenicists have criticized him for making jokes about their lifestyles. "Gamers" have also attacked him for criticizing video game addiction.[2][3][4] Despite being conservative to an extent, he still strongly supports marijuana.
Joe Rogan was widely criticized for giving Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey a softball interview.[5][6][7][8] In 2020, his endorsement was accepted by Bernie Sanders.[9] but at the same time, a video resurfaces of Rogan comparing a black neighborhood to Planet of the Apes.
When Rogan moved his podcast to Spotify, fans noted that a number of episodes featuring controversial figures had been removed.[10]
