Change, such as the changing of the seasons, is constantly occuring around us.

Change means to make something different in some particular way such as giving a different position, course, or direction to replace it with another.[1] The term can be used socially, in economics or politically.

Change management

See also: Change management

Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with the transition or transformation of a [person's]/organization's goals, processes or technologies. The purpose of change management is to implement strategies for effecting change, controlling change and helping people to adapt to change."[2]

Approximately 80% of organizational change attempts fail and it is often lower for individuals.[3] Having a sense of urgency and having a sufficient speed of change to overcome organizational inertia is a key to effective change management.[4][5]

An organization/individual with an achievement orientation and that practices goal setting is less resistant to change.
