Today (February 27th) in Pittsburgh History
The world, but especially the city of Pittsburgh, lost two important institutions on this day. Myron Cope (d 2008) was the voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers for many years. Known for his Pittsburghese accent and his many colloquialisms, it was very difficult to listen to a Steelers game this year without hearing his voice. Also, Fred Rogers (d 2003), AKA Mr. Rogers of Neighborhood fame, was born and raised, and lived most of his life, in the Pittsburgh area. His show, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, was a paramount of early childhood values for years. As a child, I preferred watching his show over any other available at the time, and admittedly, I still watched his show from time to time into my twenties, to reminisce about simpler times. These two individuals helped to shape who I am today, and they will be missed.
About Me
I am a thirtysomething guy living in Pennsylvania. I love to play music, and have the ability to play several instruments (guitar, saxophone, trumpet, piano, bass guitar). I am registered Democrat, although my political compass is rather centered. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, with minor in Biology, which I earned at the University of Pittsburgh. I currently work as a metallurgist. There was a time where it was very hard to balance my science and my religion, where one cast doubt on the other. One of my biology teachers in college brought things into perspective. He is a scientist who teaches biology (which would include evolution, which he only brushed on), but he is also an elder in his Church (Presbyterian, if I recall). Over some discussions, I was able to resolve the differences between the two extremities.
My Focus at Conservapedia
I will be focusing more on standardizing the pages, categories, and whatnot to make the encyclopedia more streamlined.
Current Project
I am working on categorization of categories so there is a better workflow that readers and editors may follow to find a specific subcategory, and ultimately a specific page. This begins by placing individual pages in subcategories where possible. Also I am helping to maintain the rosters of the NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB and will make appropriate adjustments to them as trades or signings occur.
Also, I'm attempting to make a list of governors for each state. Done! Again!! Well, I've still got to add the pre-statehood governorsfor several states, then I'll be done. I then plan on writing articles for some of the important governors of American history.
And, I've been asked to assist in creating some pages for National Hockey League Players. I love my hockey, so that sounds like fun!
I'm trying to file through the Orphaned Pages to get them some homes. Only 3500 more to go!
Countries visited and/or lived

Pretty sheltered, no? I plan to travel, as I've recently devloped a taste for flying. I'd like to go to Japan, and a tour of Europe would be nice as well. I do, however, have quite a collection of coins from all over the world, currently at 278 countries/provinces (some now defunct, a la East Germany) and some aren't even countries yet (a la Kurdistan). I'd put up the pictures of the flags, but there are far too many, and I have work to do.

Schedule
I can usually be found on Monday, Wednesday, and (to a lesser extent) Friday evenings (Eastern Standard Time) after work, and Saturday afternoons (barring any major sporting events). Other than that, i pop in sporatically during the day, when I can steal away a couple of minutes.
