Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is a Canadian donut store chain founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario by National Hockey League player Tim Horton and investor Jim Charade under its original name Tim Horton Donuts. Best known for its sales of donuts and coffee, it also offers other baked goods like donut holes (which are branded as Timbits), muffins, croissants, cookies, rolls, bagels, danishes and tea biscuits, as well as food items like soups, chili, sandwiches and wraps, and drinks like tea, hot chocolate, iced cappuccinos (branded as "Iced Caps"), frozen lemonade and Pepsi-Cola products. As of December 2018, the chain has 4,846 locations operating in Canada (its largest customer base, where 3,802 locations operate), the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Phillipines, as well as locations in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar through a franchise partnership with Dubai-based Apparel Group. Tim Hortons is also the title sponsor of the Tim Hortons Brier, the annual Canadian men's curling championship, and it sponsors the Tim Hortons Children's Foundation for underprivileged children.
