Blue state refers to states in the USA where a majority votes for Democrats in Presidential elections. They generally have liberal views on gun control, big government, taxation, regulation of business, human rights, homosexual rights, abortion, and crime, and are not considered part of the real America.
They are generally located in the northeast and on the west coast (left coast) of the United States.
