Bernie Derangement Syndrome

Bernie Derangement Syndrome is a term used to describe the unfair treatment of Bernie Sanders by the establishment.

Though Sanders supports radical left-wing policies, and has pandered to leftist extremists on identity politics,^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7] immigration,^[8]^[9] climate change,^[10] abortion,^[11]^[12]^[13] health care,^[14] and a host of other issues, he continues to be despised by the establishment^[15]^[16]^[17] and identity politics leftists.^[18]^[19]^[20]^[21]^[22]^[23] A Bernie Sanders supporter was beaten by Antifa thugs for waving an American flag.^[24] CNN and Elizabeth Warren attacked Sanders on the debate stage in January 2020, smearing him as a sexist.^[25]^[26] MSNBC host Chuck Todd smeared Bernie Sanders supporters as Nazi brownshirts.^[27]

President Donald Trump, against whom the questionable tactics of Hillary Rodham Clinton did not work to defeat, has commented on the unfair treatment of and illegitimate "victory" over Bernie Sanders in 2016 by Hillary Clinton.^[28]^[29]^[30]

Despite being treated unfairly in 2016,^[31]^[32] Bernie Sanders ran for President again in 2020,^[33] and was briefly the Democrat frontrunner^[34] before eventually dropping out of the race and endorsing Joe Biden.^[35] Barack Hussein Obama had pledged to intervene if Sanders got the nomination.^[36]

Sanders continues to be an anti-establishment populist,^[37] opposing Big Pharma,^[38]^[39] supporting criminal justice reform,^[40] and opposing "free" trade.^[41]

The extremist clique of four radical Democrat Congresswomen known as the Squad was divided regarding the endorsement of Bernie Sanders, with only Reps. Ilhan Omar,^[42]^[43] Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,^[44]^[45] and Rashida Tlaib^[46]^[47] explicitly supporting him.

Never Trumpers^[48] and establishment Democrats^[49] are "Never Bernie" and would not vote for Bernie Sanders in a general election.
