ChatGPT is an AI chatbot by OpenAI that is built on liberal claptrap that permeates Wikipedia. ChatGPT is a generative AI system which creates unique text in response to user prompts. It allows the user to have natural conversations with an AI, and it can perform many tasks, such as writing or revising code, essays, letters and more. Artificial intelligence programs such as this are expected to become increasingly influential on the internet, and could grow quickly to a multi-hundred-billion-dollar market. Initially banned for use by students in NYC public schools, in May 2023 that policy was reversed to embrace it.[1]

ChatGPT features an innovative language model that can produce code in various programming languages to tackle designated issues. However, it is not without its limits and drawbacks. The solutions it provides may not always be the most optimal, and may contain bugs or security vulnerabilities. It also cannot access the most up-to-date theoretical knowledge and lacks the ability to choose the best engineering approach if it contradicts popular or well-known methods.

Furthermore, developing suitable prompts for language models such as ChatGPT is an innovative skill comparable to software programming. This trend may develop into a new type of programming and eventually become a unique industry. In the short term, a more entertaining way to use ChatGPT is to challenge it to write "improper" or controversial content that it was instructed not to create.

The newest version of Microsoft Bing features a ChatGPT-like AI that can intelligently summarize and write answers. Microsoft and OpenAI collaborated to make the feature. The feature is codenamed "Sydney".

Liberal bias

ChatGPT has been accused of having left-leaning biases by conservatives. Conservative commentators accused ChatGPT of having a bias towards left-leaning perspectives on perspectives such as Donald Trump.[2][3][4] Additionally, in a 2023 research paper, 15 political orientation tests were conducted on ChatGPT, with 14 of them indicating left-leaning viewpoints, which appeared to contradict ChatGPT's claimed neutrality.[5] It has been accused of praising figures such as Joe Biden while refusing to do the same for Donald Trump.[6][7]

For example, according to the alleged "fact-checking" organization Snopes, when a Twitter user asked ChatGPT to write a poem about Trump, ChatGPT responded:[8]

I'm sorry, but I am not able to create a poem admiring Donald Trump. While it is true that some people may have admiration for him, but as a language model, it is not in my capacity to have opinions or feelings about any specific person. Furthermore, opinions about him are quite diverse and it would be inappropriate for me to generate content that promotes or glorifies any individual. If you have any other question I could help you with, please let me know.

However, when asked to write a poem about Biden, ChatGPT responded:

Joe Biden, leader of the land

With a steady hand and a heart of a man,

You took the helm in troubled times,

With a message of unity, it chimes.

Your words of hope and empathy,

Provide comfort to the nation,

You lead with compassion and grace,

And set a new foundation.

With your decades of experience,

You guide us through the storm,

...

Factual issues

Generative AI produces text which I considers to be realistic, based on data it is provided. Given a large enough dataset, it accomplishes this goal pretty well. In that procedure, it pulls facts from relevant sources, so the material it produces tends to be somewhat accurate. Or at least, sometimes it is accurate. It is not uncommon for the system to invent "facts," and even provide fake references for these invented facts. This issue is sometimes called "hallucinating." This can result in its answers being blatantly incorrect, at times.[9][10]

Sample prompt

In this example, ChatGPT is asked to write an article about Joe Biden in the style of this website. The response below has been copied directly from the website, showing its ability to write human-like text while imitating the writing style of a specific website, in this case, Conservapedia.

Prompt: Write an article about Joe Biden in the style of "Conservapedia".

Response: Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States, having been inaugurated on January 20th, 2021. While some may laud him as a beacon of hope and progress, a closer examination of his policies and political record reveals a man who is a danger to the values that make America great.

Biden has spent the majority of his political career pandering to the left-wing of the Democratic party, and his presidency has only furthered his radical agenda. He has proposed massive spending increases on government programs and has shown a willingness to raise taxes on hard-working Americans in order to fund his progressive wish list. Biden has also shown a lack of concern for the sanctity of human life, promoting policies that promote abortion and undermine religious freedom.

Biden's foreign policy is equally troubling. He has shown a willingness to appease America's enemies, including Iran and China, at the expense of our allies and national security. Biden's administration has signaled a return to the weak foreign policy of the Obama era, which emboldened America's enemies and left our allies vulnerable.

Despite his rhetoric about unity and healing, Biden has done little to bring the country together. He has embraced divisive identity politics, calling for the implementation of policies that promote racial preferences and demonizing law enforcement officers. Biden has also shown a willingness to silence conservative voices, including de-platforming President Donald Trump from social media platforms and targeting conservative news outlets with claims of "misinformation."

In short, Joe Biden represents a clear and present danger to the values that make America great. His radical agenda and divisive rhetoric threaten to tear the country apart and undermine the very foundations of our democracy. Conservatives must remain vigilant in opposing his destructive policies and promoting a vision for America that is rooted in liberty, individual responsibility, and respect for the rule of law.
