Book of Jeremiah

Jeremiah is a book in the Old Testament. The author, Jeremiah the weeping prophet, spoke at a time when Israel was in rebellion and didn't want to hear the word of God. Jeremiah tried to warn the people of the consequences of rebellion against God. Some have stated that this book has more insight into a prophet's life than any other Biblical book of prophecy.[1] The book of Lamentations serves as a companion book.
This Book contains one of the most pro-life verses in the Bible, at Jeremiah 1:5 :
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
This Book contains a prophecy of the new covenant by God, at Jeremiah 31:31 .
