Power-brokers versus Biden

Power-brokers versus Biden is the attempt in late June and early July 2024 by power-brokers of the Democrat Party to replace Joe Biden as the presidential nominee of the party. This appeared to be an orchestrated campaign that began immediately after the June 27 presidential debate, in comments apparently choreographed against Biden continuing as the Dem nominee.
By the evening of July 19, 2024, in a largely planned sequence, 35 Democrats in Congress (including 4 senators) had publicly called for Biden to quit the race.[2]
Almost immediately Op-eds appeared in the New York Times demanding that Biden withdraw, followed quickly by an Editorial by this leading liberal newspaper unusually making the same demand. The timing and uniformity of these calls for Biden to withdraw seemed too quick to be organic, and instead appear to have been planned before the debate even occurred. Even (washed-up) Hollywood actor George Clooney piled on against Biden, despite having just co-hosted fundraisers for him.[3]
Power-brokers want a younger replacement of Biden, as the Dem nominee, who is more pro-transgender, more pro-war against Russia, more of a globalist leader, and not a practicing Catholic, such as:
- Pros: fully controllable by globalists and liberals, and the only one who could use entirely Biden's campaign war chest of more than $220M
- Cons: brings San Francisco values and polls no better than Biden; Jill Biden reportedly dislikes her intensely
- Pros: highest ranking self-proclaimed homosexual ever in the United States government; what's next? appointed UN ambassador?
- Cons: may take more family vacation and maternity leave than Biden vacation days, but is a likely VP nominee
- Pros: strongly pro-transgender, even more than Biden
- Cons: may not be enough pro-war-against-Russia for the New York Times, and Barack Obama was more pro-Iran (including the huge cash giving over) than some power-brokers prefer; also, Michelle seems to lack the temperament needed for a politician
- Pros: victim of an FBI false flag kidnap plot
- Cons: threatened to assassinate President Donald Trump
- Pros: member of the Pelosi machine
- Cons: governor of California
1940 example
The political classic A Choice Not An Echo describes how the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, Sen. Robert Taft, declined to embrace the pro-war commitment that the kingmakers (including the liberal media) wanted, so Wendell Willkie -- who never held any political office -- was quickly promoted from a nobody to the GOP nominee in 1940.[4]
The book describes a special dinner in New York City where Taft was asked to support going to war on behalf of the British Empire at the outset of World War II. He declined. Within days the New York Herald Tribune editorial headline was, "Heaven's gift to the nation in its time of crisis."[5]
Assuming history will repeat itself, watch whom the liberal media (CNN, ABC, New York Times) suddenly start to promote lavishly and uncritically, perhaps initially merely praising the person. That's whom the power-brokers already want to replace Biden.
Dems calling for Biden to quit
Every day in early July, a new Democrat calls for Biden to quit, in what appears to be a coordinated staging of one announcement per day by this campaign. Yet as of July 8, 2024, "no member of the Congressional Black Caucus ... has broken" against Biden, while many have publicly supported him.[6]
Democrat | Date of Stating Biden Should Quit |
---|---|
Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX)[7] | July 2, 2024 |

Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) | July 19, 2024[11] |
On July 7, 2024, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) implied that Biden should quit by setting an impossible condition for Biden to remain the nominee: “Either he has to win overwhelmingly or he has to pass the torch to someone who can.”[13] Schiff will presumptively become a U.S. Senator from Dem-controlled California in the November 2024 election, taking the seat long held by Diane Feinstein. By July 18, 2024, Schiff had more expressly called for Biden to quit.
On July 17, 2024, Biden, reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, and "Joe Biden could step down within days as inner circle voices concerns."[14] 10 more House Democrats call on Biden to step aside. [15]
