The way the 2017 election is billed in US media (for whatever that is worth) is, it's bigger that the Brexit vote. That it's a vote on survival of the EU itself. It may be #3 of #4 in voters minds and priorities, but if this notion does have resonance or standing in Europe, maybe we should include a sentence or two about it.
