For some strange reason, I get the distinct impression that Trump is going to win this...again. Not that him winning is a bad thing--he is doing an excellent job! --David B (TALK) 11:12, 7 November 2018 (EST)
- I think so as well. The bigger question will be who should be the runner-up. I think the three most likely runner-ups are Brett Kavanaugh, Jair Bolsonaro, and Steve King, though I'm tempted to also add Matteo Salvini to the list. --1990'sguy (talk) 17:12, 13 November 2018 (EST)
- I like Corsi. Tremendous courage. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 15:35, 15 December 2018 (EST)
- I agree! He has actually stood up to these creeps, and fought back! --David B (TALK) 17:30, 15 December 2018 (EST)
- So now the Daily Caller is reporting an embarrassing leak from the Mueller probe to discredit Corsi (which looks more credible coming ftom the Daily Caller). The whole thing smacks of another FBI undercover blackmail sting operation. which is why I (personally. and don't necessarily expect others to) stand by Corsi. He has too long a proven record of aiding conservative causes. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 17:42, 15 December 2018 (EST)
- I'll wait for the full story, but it smells fishy. --David B (TALK) 17:48, 15 December 2018 (EST)
- Here's my theory: Mueller and the boys told Corsi, "cooperate or this whole thing comes out;" of coarse, we don't know if Corsi was set up and compromised. It's obvious Corsi was targeted to be destroyed, like Flynn, like Manafort (Corsi wrote Swiftboats and Obamanation, which impacted every presidential election since 2004, so it's obvious he's a major target Democrats want to silence and destroy permanently). Leaking to Daily Caller is an attack on Corsi's fan base, which he needs for fundraising both to defend himself, and sue Mueller. But it's a decision Corsi made when he refused cooperation - the decision to allow the blackmail evidence Mueller had to come out. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 02:34, 16 December 2018 (EST)

- Either way, the objective of Mueller and Democrats is achieved: Corsi is permanently neutralized and taken out of the game of presidential politics. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 02:38, 16 December 2018 (EST)
Kavanaugh
I suggest that Kavanaugh be demoted on (or even scrubbed from) this list. He, along with Roberts refused to hear a pair of cases on defunding Planned Parenthood, thus giving a major victory to that corrupt and downright evil company. He may be somewhere on the conservative spectrum, but I think this alone (not to mention his refusal to support Trump) should disqualify him from consideration for the title "Conservative of the Year." --David B (TALK) 21:14, 15 December 2018 (EST)
- It's interesting; could be Kavanaugh felt a need to mend fences with the women's movement and prove he's not "anti-woman." It shows that judges are not beyond politics, unless you want to believe those who claim to adhere to principles are hypocritical liars.
- If it's just politics, this wouldn't preclude Kavanaugh flipping in a future, different political environment. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 02:58, 16 December 2018 (EST)
- Great points. Kavanaugh is being dropped to the "demoted" category.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 11:51, 16 December 2018 (EST)
Corsi
I see that Corsi has been moved up to #2 -- I disagree with this. While exposing the Mueller investigation's corruption is obviously good, many conservatives have done this (and there's also Roger Stone). Corsi isn't significant in any way compared to the other conservatives speaking against Mueller, as well as the other conservatives on this list. I think Jair Bolsonaro, Steve King, and Project Veritas (and others) have been much more significant, and several of them have won surprising election victories despite the massive opposition to them and their very conservative positions.
Bottom line: Corsi's a great person, but the winner and runner up positions should be for more significant people with more significant accomplishments in 2018. --1990'sguy (talk) 14:13, 16 December 2018 (EST)
- There's much to be litigated yet (playing the Democrat game). I've watched hours of his youtube channel since the day he was subpoenaed back in August (incidentally, the timeline of his subpoena with the Daily Caller allegations make me suspicious of another FBI entrapment sting). I've watched him agonize over the decisions he's had to make. I watched in real time as the Daily Caller reported, "Several times through the show, Corsi recited the Bible verse Jeremiah 20:11.
- "But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one; therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper; their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten."
- When he decided to fight Mueller, I was shocked. I thought he was ready to cow, but I know his faith in God led him to resist.
- As I said, I don't expect others to share my opinion. But it's not the time to abandon him. He needs to remain in the running for 2019. Lighting the board (Win-Place-Show) would be nice, or running in the money (up to 5th place) is an honor he deserves. But an "also ran" snubs a true Patriot, Christian, and hero at a time he needs our prayers and support most.
- And a shout out to Project Veritas who helped win MO, TN & ND. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 16:13, 16 December 2018 (EST)
- He's a patriot for sure, but he's not significant in 2018 compared to the other entries. People like Trump, Bolsonaro, Salvini, Orban, or organizations like Project Veritas have had a significantly larger impact/accomplishments in 2018 (and they're all strong, consistent conservatives). We should give those people the recognition they deserve before giving Corsi 1st or 2nd place. --1990'sguy (talk) 16:29, 16 December 2018 (EST)

Flynn
Should Flynn be listed as a runner-up, or should he be demoted? It looked like he would avoid jail time, but Flynn refused to withdraw his "guilty" plea.[1] Also, this came after Trump wished him luck,[2] which (at least to me) only embarrassed the president.
Another option is combining Flynn's entry with Corsi's and Stone's, since all of them are mentioned specifically because of the Mueller Probe. We have a very large number of entries this year, so it might be a good idea. --1990'sguy (talk) 01:01, 30 December 2018 (EST)
