Henry Agard Wallace (1888 - 18 November 1965) was the second Vice President under Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1941-1945. He was not renominated as Roosevelt's running mate in 1944.
Wallace headed the Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA) in the early days of Rossevelt's New Deal. The AAA was later found unconstitutional by the United States Supreme Court.
He ran independantly in the United States presidential election, 1948, but lost to Harry Truman. [1]
