Chicago is a city located in Illinois on the western shore of Lake Michigan. As of 2005, it was the third largest city by population in the United States with a population of just under 3 million. [1] Its current mayor is Richard M. Daley.

Chicago is home to the Sears Tower, which at 1,450 feet is the tallest building in the United States, and was once the tallest building in the world. [2]

The city hosted the 1968 Democratic National Convention when Richard J. Daley was mayor. The convention was disrupted by radicals such as Abbie Hoffman.
