Biography

Sebastián Izquierdo was born Sebastián Izquierdo was born to Felipe Izquierdo Bergmann and María Magdalena Almarza Barros in Puerto Aysén, Chile, where he spent five years of his childhood with his parents. In 1993, he and his family left the Aysén Region and moved to Santiago de Chile. Once in Santiago, Izquierdo started studying at the Sacred Heart of the Dominican Sisters of La Reina, then Las Carmelitas of Las Condes, in 8th grade he went to Colegio Rafael Sotomayor A-68, and subsequently, he studied at Colegio Concordia (formerly called Colegio Marshall). He finished high school through free exams he took at a school in San Miguel in 2009.[2]

His father was a militant of the extreme left-wing group Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (MIR), however, he later abandoned the communist ideology when he saw the economic contrast between East and West Germany[3] and now defends Augusto Pinochet's legacy. His paternal grandfather, Guillermo Izquierdo, was the leader of the nationalist Agrarian Labor Party (Partido Agrario Laborista).

Izquierdo performed as a street musician of the Rock & Roll genre under the name "Tati Swing".

In 2021 he got married on his birthday, he now doesn't go to political rallies and is dedicated to paternity and writing.

Religion

He had a conversion from atheism to Catholicism and he started being Sedevacantist but left that posture now recognizing the Pope. He encourages other ones to convert as well. He politically is in line with the Traditional Catholic Doctrine (for example the Carlists from Spain) but in the religious part he is not contrary to Novus Ordo Mass. At the same time he wants Novus Ordo to be as reverent as the Traditional Latin Mass but thinks the SSPX is "schismatic".

Ideology and movement

Main article: Revolutionary Capitalism

Izquierdo defines his ideology as a unique one, he takes ideas from feudalism, patriotism, traditionalism, rejects Enlightenment (therefore he reject socialism, nationalism and liberalism and the notion as men and reason as the center of everything) and has a praxis and political strategies that use violence and fear against the opponents.

The base of the Revolutionary Capitalism ideology is the respect of the private property and to invert the relation between the State and it by putting property relations as the base of the society.

He rejects the concept of "individuals" and calls the people "ligatum" as people are tied to reality and how they are born and not alone in the universe.

The Cross of Burgundy, the flag of the Spanish Empire is used by hispanists as an emblem related to Catholicism as well.

Izquierdo is an hispanist and says all the hispanic countries are in fact, just one nation (Spain) with many fatherlands (Chile, Argentina, Venezuela).

Sebastián has also been critical to Guildism calling them a mafia, and has also criticized the libertarian people and other people from the right-wing that he doesn't agree.

Previuosly during his youth he sipatized with National Socialism and later Libertarianism, however he abandoned both.

Revolutionary Capitalism started as a libertarian movement and evolved into a traditionalist Catholic one, specially since 2020.

The judicial system determined that Izquierdo couldn't attend political marches until there was a sentence about his role in the self-defense group 'Vanguardia', which has been delayed many times. In 2021, Izquierdo dictated online classes on his ideology.[4] The movement only reactivated itself in 2022 with a new logo and a clear Traditionalist direction, but didn't stay for long.

In 2023 Izquierdo received the sentence of 598 of jail time but he already served his sentence at home before so he was liberated.

In late 2022 he started publishing books on Amazon and continues to do so.

Activism

On July 31, 2016, Izquierdo created independently, an account on YouTube and other social networks, which he called "Revolutionary Capitalism", where he begins his political activism by publishing videos of libertarianism, ideology from which he currently dissociates himself. He spent about a year uploading interviews, podcasts and debates.

Sebastián Izquierdo and Capitalismo Revolucionario, began to gain prominence in politics during the political campaigns of the 2017 Chilean presidential election, where Izquierdo actively participated in the campaign of then-candidate José Antonio Kast. At the end of 2017 Izquierdo and his movement, received a lot of support in their social networks and protests. His activity during those years was based on interventions in the Congress of Chile, protests and dissemination of pamphlets. Capitalismo Revolucionario's activism was consolidated and focused on anticommunist, anti-statists, patriots and anti-feminists ideas.

He sold right-wing T-Shirts, including Pinochetist and Anti United Nations designs.

His activism remained without receiving press interest until October 2019, after the Marxist insurrection, as Izquierdo acted as one of the main opponents of that event, and after Sebastián Piñera decreed the convocation of the Chilean National Plebiscite of 2020, actively participated in the dissemination of pamphlets and call for marches in favor of the "Rejection" (Rechazo) option accompanied by The Vanguard (La Vanguardia), a social movement in defense of the demonstrators in case of aggression by Antifa.[5]

Later, the same year Vanguardia was divided in autonomous cells and Izquierdo had to be in his house because the judicial system prohibited him to attend public events.

He returned to YouTube later on, broadcasting his ideology and has done so since. He also promoted the "Against" Option in the 2023 Constitucional Referendum, opposing the official Republican Party call for supporting the "In Favor" option which lost to the dissident right.
