Talk:Venezuela
This article and MOST articles reffering to countries other than United States are very wrong. Conservative information isn't very deep into the facts.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by portujoel5 (talk)

'Discovered by Columbus'
Typical of the information pollution injected by the US State Department, this article's main source, into the knowledge base of the internet. Columbus never set foot on the South American continent. RobSZelensky Must Go! 15:28, August 31, 2025 (EDT)
So let me get this straight...
The Intro says:
- Maduro continued those [socialist] policies also when the mostly liberal opposition alliance MUD, a coalition of liberal, Christian democratic and centrist parties, got a majority
Evidently we have a different understanding of the word "liberal", and who the good guys and the bad guys are. RobSZelensky Must Go! 13:32, October 10, 2025 (EDT)
Unprovoked aggression
This national humiliation of Venezuela will not be forgotten for a long, long time. It gives new meaning and understanding of the word "nationalism". Venezuelans - of whatever political stripe - who support it for a long time to come will largely be considered unpatriotic or traitors. RobSRecovering Republican 18:15, January 3, 2026 (EST)
- What's going to happen now? The successor organizations of USAID will begin flooding Venezuela with gay comic books to pacify the population? Ok, maybe they have to wait two years until the lame duck president is removed. RobSRecovering Republican 18:22, January 3, 2026 (EST)
What do you think of news photos today of Venezeulans cheering the streets about this change, there and in Madrid?--Andy Schlafly (talk) 14:02, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- Didn't see it. Sounds like Western-controlled MSM while suppressing the anger of Venezuelans.
- Maduro was a bad guy - nobody disputes that except his hardcore supporters. However, that doesn't give Trump or the US the right to openly violate US & international law. "You broke it, you bought it". This won't be a quick "Shock and Awe" blitzkrieg. RobSRecovering Republican 14:12, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- Thank you Andy Schlafly, that was my point in the context too of Latino votes in Midterms. Note. There are some 8 million Venezolanos ouside their home country, with 1.1 million in the US, their emotional celebration effects all Latinos. Not just Cubans and Nicaraguans who still feel the dictatorships pain. I spoke Latinos in the west coast too. This is huge!

- We keep calling Venezuela "socialist", while Maria Corina Machado sits in parliament as leader of the opposition. Venezuela is actually more "democratic" than Ukraine, where the opposition is banned and in exile.
- We seem to have a misunderstanding of "socialist"; Venezuela is not a single party state (like the US, it has corrupt, rigged elections). RobSRecovering Republican 14:22, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- So far Trump isn't excited about her. But Chavismo, above all is (Nacionalista)socialista. Nor do they deny it.It's a dictatorship. We all know who won the election. Maduro has employed 'colectivo chavistas' to make sure no 'other' than the regime is implemented. Kind of gangs, Iran uses.Dianne3000 (talk) 14:29, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- Machado's out. The incumbent regime has 30 days to purge the traitors in the military who took bribes in cash & shares of stock in US oil companies to not fire its missile defense system. This sets up internal civil conflict before an election in 30 days. Trump says a US ground force is on standby to intervene. (That's what Mearsheimer uis talking about. RobSRecovering Republican 14:39, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- Let's see the outcome. As I said yesterday, I pray for the safety of Americans, and others.Dianne3000 (talk)

The always wrong Mearsheimer, humiliated again LOL
Just brilliant

After royally humiliating himself on every aspect of Mideast policy analysis, beyond what I ever knew possible, here’s Professor John Mearsheimer extending the humiliation to his Venezuela analysis. Listen, it is so funny.[1] |

- Sorry, removing one guy isn't necessarily regime change. It ain't over.

- To clarify, RobS, I respect you, I don't respect Mersheimer. I find his "analysis" on the Middle East funny.
Here is more about Mearsheimer, the loser: Another pearl of wisdom:
| “ | "Something extraordinary is unfolding in the Caribbean. A quiet but unmistakable signal that the global balance of power is shifting before our eyes. Russian naval vessels have docked in Venezuelan waters, sending a message that despite what some in Washington may claim, this is not just a simple military exercise. It's a moment of reckoning, a direct challenge to decades of American dominance in Latin America. This isn't merely about naval drills or ships sailing across the ocean. It's about sovereignty, defiance, and the birth of a new multipolar world where nations refuse to bow to a single superpower. " | ” |
I don't hate Putin. But Measheimer has always been a loser, especially on the Middle East. Dianne3000 (talk) 21:19, January 4, 2026 (EST)
- There's gonna be a Chinese tanker there in about two weeks. So far, despite all the tough talk, vessels under Chinese & Russian flags have entered and exited the blockade zone unmolested. RobSRecovering Republican 06:02, January 5, 2026 (EST)

A good example of narrative engineering
We have a good example of CIA/MSM narrative engineering. All mainstream sources are reporting "sporadic" gunfire around government buildings in Caracas. The fighting between regime forces loyal to Delcy Rodriquez and forces under command of Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello looking for traitors who cooperated with Americans is intense. It's called "sporadic" cause the CIA has already taken sides with Rodriquez.
The question of who controls the military remains open. Cabello wants to purge the military of traitors who cooperated with the US; Rodriquez, Rubio, and Trump want to dispose of Cabello, so they can take control of both the Department of the Interior and Defense. RobSAbnormal is fine. Stupid isn't. 12:42, January 7, 2026 (EST)
no regime change
There will be no regime change without boots on the ground. The Chavistas remain in power. "the U.S. intends to maintain control over Venezuela’s oil industry “indefinitely,”....Trump will meet with oil executives from Chevron, Exxon and others on Friday".
You can see where this is headed. "indefinity" means 3 years or the remainder of Trump's term. Without boots on the ground to provide security, Chevron & Exxon technicians will get whacked or kidnapped by insurgents as an October Surprise before the 2026 Midterms. RobSAbnormal is fine. Stupid isn't. 14:31, January 7, 2026 (EST)
