Small town values are conservative values that promote virtues such as self-reliance. Small town values do not require the help of an overbearing government and are often tied to family values and traditional values. They reflect the selfless values of hard-working, independent conservatives who prefer to help each other than ask for a handout from the government. Small town values are championed by politicians like former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and former presidential hopeful Rick Santorum.
Those who do not agree with these small town values often mock those who hold them.[1][2]
