Though almost Christians agree on the abstract ideal of love, there is significent dispute over the practical implimentation of a Christian morality. Christians today are divided over many contriversial moral issues, including but not limited to: Divorce, homosexuality, abortion, stem-cell research, the role of women in society and in church positions and adultery. Christianity holds that moral law is derived from God and is expressed in His word, with widely varying denominational and individual differences regarding what His word is intended to say.
