8% of married parents are living in poverty. 27% of solo parents are living in poverty.[1]

Premarital sex and single motherhood cause a lot of poverty and misery. 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average (Center for Disease Control). 80% of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes –14 times the average. (Justice & Behavior, Vol. 14, p. 403-26). 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes – 9 times the average (National Principals Association Report).[2]

The Netherlands

The Netherlands is one of the richest countries in the world and it has a generous social safety net.

But 7 million people out of their 17 million person population live on low incomes.

And why are those 7 million people in the Netherlands living on low incomes?

Tilsburg University stats:

Research by the Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) and Statistics Netherlands (CBS) shows that single-parent families, people with a non-Western background, welfare recipients, and single people under the age of 65 have a high risk of severe poverty. In 2018, 584,000 of the nearly 7.4 million households had to live on low incomes. This was as many as in the previous year.[3]

In 2019, the Netherlands had a population of 17.28 million people.

So approximately 43% of the Netherland's population live on low incomes. Mr. Leftist, one thing for certain, the Nordic countries such as the Netherlands are not a land of milk and honey for people unwilling to study and work hard.

If you are counting on the world's social welfare systems to get you out of the low-income situation, it is not a smart bet - especially since the developed world is now facing aging populations.

The bottom line Mr. Leftist: The rich aren't going to bail you out. Get off your butt! And marry before you have sex!

The national debt and unfunded liabilities of the United States

The National Debt is the amount of money the United States Federal government owes various creditors due to deficit spending.

As of December 2021, the National debt of the United States is about $31 trillion in national debt]]. In December of 2021, that was about  $96,371 per American.[4]  

In addition, American taxpayers have been paying into the USA retirement program Social Security and its medical program for seniors called Medicare for decades.  The Social Security and Medicare programs are now unfunded liabilities. If one combines the United States national debt with the unfunded liabilities of Social Security and Medicare, each American owes more than $500,000.[5]  Many USA taxpayers will be unable to collect the amount they put in Social Security and Medicare by the time they need it because the programs will be cut back by then. The most rapid period of economic growth in world history was caused by hard work and Bible-believing Protestantism. Imagine that!

Welfare, the USA and the slave mentality

The article Today’s Slave Mentality – An interesting theory of how people behave in this country indicates about the U.S. welfare system:

As more and more people become addicted to entitlements, they become more apathetic and less likely to work. Despite this huge cash infusion over an extended period of time, only 25% are employed, and they suffer from the highest poverty rate and lowest life expectancy in the country. Those imbued with the slave mentality do not simply want something for nothing, they expect it. Whereas they are content to perform simple labor, they expect their master, the federal government, to provide for their housing, welfare, health care, and other amenities. This explains why entitlements have grown at an alarming rate in recent years and why such people have no problem with a massive government. They are mindful of the rules and regulations of the master, but have no true understanding of the concept of freedom which is nothing more than a catch-phrase of the government.

In contrast, those opposed to big government and actively work to sustain themselves relish freedom and truly understand the price of it in blood and sweat. They realize freedom encourages personal initiative to invent, innovate, discover, write, and create. They may either be successful or a failure, but they relish the opportunity to at least try. They are allowed to believe what they want, say what they want, go where they want, but most importantly they are allowed to be an entrepreneur with all of the risks and responsibilities involved. The slave mentality class doesn’t grasp this and shirks risk and responsibility, preferring the safety of the master instead.

The slave codes of today are implemented by the media who cleverly manipulates the people’s sense of right and wrong, thereby defining how they should think and act. As George Orwell correctly observed, “The people will believe what the media tells them they believe.” Political correctness is an obvious example of how the media influences the perceptions of people. In reality, the media is controlled by the government who orchestrates the messages to the masses. From this, the slaves steadfastly protect their master by savagely attacking his detractors, either physically or verbally. Such slaves are simple people who can be easily manipulated by the media.

For the slave mentality to flourish, government needs to grow and become more invasive in the lives of the people. Entitlements are the hallmark of the slaves, something they believe they deserve as opposed to earn; something the master will provide. To grasp the size of the people possessing the slave mentality, consider how the country’s Welfare has escalated since 1960:

So what exactly is the slave mentality? A person who is willing to become subservient to the government in exchange for basic creature comforts as opposed to earning it themselves. The slave unknowingly remains a prisoner and is not truly free. In reality, he/she does not understand freedom, nor do they want it for freedom requires hard work, risk, and responsibility, elements which they have been conditioned to avoid. Knowing this, the government master controls the people through simple bribery and uses the media to manipulate the perceptions of the masses.[10]

Do I expect the Democrats to deliver on great healthcare for Americans?

Americans spend too much on defense and they have been poor negotiators with NATO who do give their people universal healthcare as their defense budgets are lower (see: Trump’s NATO Spending Demand Would Break Denmark’s Welfare State). On top of this, America has an overweight and aging population and a huge national debt of $27 trillion dollars.

And then there are the lobbyists - especially corporate lobbyists. When Obama ran won in 2008, bankers were among his biggest contributors (see: Bankers and academics at top of Obama's donor list in 2008, The Guardian). Are bankers going to be very generous as far as wanting to provide generous healthcare to Americans? No. And that is why ObamaCare was a bad deal for many people - especially with its mandate (which the Republicans got revoked).

Aging populations demand more healthcare[12] and when there is increased demand, all other things being equal, prices go up. It's simple economics. And judging by the projected global shortage of nurses, it does not appear as if supply will keep with demand in the healthcare sector.

I don't expect Democrats to ever deliver on great healthcare for Americans. And Europe's healthcare system will get more strained as their population base ages as older people need more healthcare (see: European Health Systems: unsustainable without reforms). And aging populations aren't as productive economically because people retire early by historical standards in terms of how long they have left to live.

On May 6, 2022, the Washington Post reported about the former SCOTUS judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the Roe vs. Wade U.S. Supreme Court case: "Ginsburg, who died in 2020, criticized the 7-to-2 decision both before and after she joined the high court. She argued that it would have been better to take a more incremental approach to legalizing abortion, rather than the nationwide ruling in Roe that invalidated dozens of state antiabortion laws. She suggested a ruling protecting abortion rights would have been more durable if it had been based on the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution — in other words, if it had focused on gender equality rather than the right to privacy that the justices highlighted."

Questions: Where does the U.S. Constitution mention gender equality? If it doesn't mention gender equality, then why wasn't Ruther Bader Ginsberg advocating for a constitutional amendment so she could legally rule on such a matter? Ginsberg was a judge. She was not a legislator. There was the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but it never passed. Phyllis Schlafly was very effective as far as her opposition of the Equal Rights Amendment. Also, do you think that Ruth Bader Ginsberg was right that the so-called right to privacy in the U.S. Constitution was a less than optimal legal foundation for Roe vs. Wade?
