Dr. Rand Paul (born January 7, 1963) is the conservative junior United States Senator from Kentucky. His father is Ron Paul. Rand Paul was not[1] named after objectivist and libertarian author Ayn Rand.
In 2010, he won the Republican primary after defeating moderate candidate Trey Grayson by a landslide. He went on to win the Kentucky U.S. Senate seat previously held by Jim Bunning through his defeat of Democrat Jack Conway in the 2010 Midterm Election.
