Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn (born September 10, 1954) is an American politician serving as the junior senator from Wyoming from 2001 to 2027. Lummis was the sole U.S. representative from Wyoming until she was succeeded by Liz Cheney.

A rancher and landowner, she is the widow of Alvin Wiederspahn, whom she met when the two were state legislators. He was a Democrat; she, a Republican.

Lummis was among eight senator who objected to presidential election vote tabulations for either Pennsylvania or Arizona.[1] She also voted against the nomination of Merrick Garland.[2]

In December 2025, Lummis announced that she will not seek a second term in the senatorial office in 2026. Representative Harriet Hageman is seeking the Republican senatorial nomination as a potential successor to Lummis.
