Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn (born September 10, 1954) is an American politician serving as the junior senator from Wyoming. Lummis was the representative from Wyoming until she was succeeded by Liz Cheney. She is a rancher and landowner.
She is the widow of Alvin Wiederspahn, whom she met when the two were state legislators. He was a Democrat; she, a Republican.
Lummis was among eight senator who objected to presidential election vote tabulations for either Pennsylvania or Arizona.[1] She also voted against the nomination of Merrick Garland.[2]
