A conservative obsession is an idea or an ideal which conservatives obsess over. These obsessions can range from political, to environmental, or even personal. They are almost always groundless, irrational and contradictory to facts and evidence. These obsessions can lead, if enough pressure is applied, to conservative creep as conservative push their false ideals even further.
