The Tea Party Patriots is perhaps the largest group in the Tea Party Movement, claiming 2,800 affiliated groups and over 15 million members. Tea Party Patriots co-founders and national coordinators include Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler.
An anonymous donor donated $1 million to The Tea Party Patriots to benefit the thousands of its affiliate groups across the United States.[1] As a 501(c)4 entity under the federal tax code, Tea Party Patriots is not regulated by federal campaign finance laws and therefore not required to reveal its funding sources.
