Still, a systematic transformation of Beijing’s perspective on Ukraine or other key foreign policy matters is unlikely. Xi shares Moscow’s anti-Western hostility; demonstrates a very shaky grasp of economics, limiting his understanding of the scope of China’s domestic problems; and presides over a system that does not make major self-corrections easily. Indian Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhiji: Impossible for BJP to win if INDIA Alliance just does this

To understand Indian Politics, you have to understand (1) the BJP-RSS are a Radical Hindutva Nationalist Party that is ok with Persecution of Christians (and other Minorities), and (2) are extremely corrupt. Below, Rahul Gandhi points out that the Congress Party and all Allies can surely win if only they stay united.

"PM Modi and the BJP are a nexus of corruption and that is the first time the INDIA alliance will demonstrate and prove, Rahul Gandhi said as the two-day meeting of the opposition alliance in Mumbai concluded. It is impossible for the BJP to win the election as the opposition stage, Rahul Gandhi said, represents 60% of the Indian population. "So the task in front of us is to come together in the most efficient way possible. And two major steps have been taken in this regard -- a coordination committee and that we will expedite all seat-sharing discussions. These are two powerful steps in ensuring that the INDIA alliance defeats the BJP," Rahul Gandhi said."

"Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that he feels the INDIA alliance will easily defeat the BJP in the elections.

Speaking at the joint press conference after day meeting of the INDIA bloc parties in Mumbai, Rahul Gandhi said, "This stage represents 60 per cent of the Indian population. If the parties on this stage unite, it is impossible for the BJP to win an election." NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:32, September 2, 2023 (EDT)

UK March for Life

Today is the UK March for Life. Please Pray for its wider success.

Pro-Lifers have to beat the Left at their own game. If Governor De Santis gets in, the US government will be undoubtedly pro-life for the next 4 if not 8 years after that. So, US Pro-Life Organizations would be freed up to promote the Pro-Life Cause outside the US. As that Guardian article mentions, it has happened before, but not to the full extent it could. As for the UK government becoming Leftist and trying to persecute Pro-Lifers, yes, that's a problem. That's why Pro-Lifers need to work harder and be smarter to win this fight. And that's why Gov. De Santis needs to get in, as he'll stop that weaponization of government against Pro-Lifers, as he has promised. As for the UK Government, I'm not sure. I hope either Rishi Sunak or Boris Johnson or whoever gets in will do it, but I'm not sure they will. They haven't promised any such thing. De Santis has and his promises are credible. The Four 2024 Elections That Will Shape the Second Half of the Decade

From: https://worldview.stratfor.com/article/four-2024-elections-will-shape-second-half-decade

"In 2024, four of the world's largest countries and territories will hold elections that will shape global affairs during the second half of the decade. In March, Russia is scheduled to hold a presidential election to appoint its leader until 2030. Between April and May, India will hold general elections to appoint the government and parliament that will lead the country until 2029. In June, the European Union will hold bloc-wide elections to appoint members of the European Parliament for the 2024-2029 period, which will also result in a new European Commission. Finally, the United States will hold legislative and presidential elections for the 2025-2028 period. Combined, these elections will cover a population of roughly 2.3 billion people and a GDP of approximately $42 trillion, and their results will set the tone for global interactions into the 2030s...." Could Duginist "fourth positionism" facilitate the spirit of antichrist?

Quite recently, an interesting potential parallel startled me to an extent: Aleksandr Dugin's promoted concept of a "fourth political theory" distinct from classical liberalism, Marxism, and fascism, is eerily similar to the development of the Zealots among Judaism sects during the very midst of classical antiquity; Judas of Galilee, a fanatical ultranationalist who advocated theocracy (sound familiar?), was its foremost militant leader, rallying the common people behind the noble cause of overthrowing those tyrants oppressing liberty and freedom.

And history isn't particularly kind to Judas of Galilee:

“ For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. ”

—Acts 5:36–37

God punishes us collectively for our societal sins by using tyrannical governments to suppress us from committing further evils; anyone who thinks that a right-wing populist anarchy is morally preferable to a Commu-Bidenist regime should look at the Jewish history of the 1st century: Zionist mobs temporarily freed themselves from Pagan Rome's restrictive decrees, and subsequent horrendous abominations followed, reaching even to the levels of infanticide. Later in the Bar Kokhba revolt, apostate Jews, believing their syncretic ideology (which presented the pursuit of a militant Zionist theocracy as godly and righteous) blending ultranationalism and religion to be just, persecuted Jewish Christians who refused to support the insurrection, as the historian Eusebius records. The result was a separation of Judaism from Christianity: while Jewish Christians were previously a major sect in the church, subsequent Roman prohibition of Jews from the holy city ensured a Gentile appointment to bishop of Jerusalem.

Dugin's well-promoted "fourth political theory" is clearly an outgrowth of the same illiberal, ultra-populist sentiments, rapidly growing in recent years, that Trumpism spawned from. The increasing emphasis on attempting to justify "right-wing populist" anarchism by "whatever means necessary" as a supposedly valid excuse to ending "the evil globalist regime" eerily resembles the attitude of the Zealots led by Judas of Galilee. The Bible is very clear in condemning such populist agitation:

“ And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. ”

—Mark 12:17

“ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. ”

—Romans 13:1–4

“ Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. ”

“ Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. ”

—Romans 3:31

“ For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. ”

—Romans 6:14–15

“ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. ”

—Romans 7:7

“ Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. ”

—James 2:24

“ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ”

—1 John 2:4

Thank God I read the New Testament in full so I understand its complete meaning instead of getting deceived by your quote-mining games. I noticed that you cited Romans 6:14 a lot to imply that Christians shouldn't focus on keeping the law, and the very next verse says that doers of the law are justified! —LT Rev. 22:13 Thursday, 21:07, September 6, 2023 (EDT)

Salvation and justification are two different things. We are saved by grace through faith and faith alone (Eph. 2:8) and justified by the completion of our faith through works. (James 2:22) —LT Rev. 22:13 Thursday, 21:57, September 6, 2023 (EDT)

Dugin made it clear years ago that he wishes to apply Fourth Theory only in the former USSR and the Orthodox Balkans. In other regions, he backs different ideologies as allies in the anti-globalist revolution. In Western Europe, it's National Bolshevism. In the Middle East, they're Arab nationalism and non-Wahhabi Islamism. In East Asia, they're Maoism and Imperial Japanese-style statism. And in the Anglosphere, they're the woke left and the alt-right.--Geopolitician (talk) 14:12, September 7, 2023 (EDT)

Bloomberg: Russia Expects to Sell Gas to China at Half the Price for Europe

Russia could have continued to have a productive relationship with Europe, instead of now becoming involved in almost a slave-like relationship with Communist China. Sad. : "Russia Expects to Sell Gas to China at Half the Price for Europe" https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-09-08/russia-expects-to-sell-gas-to-china-at-half-the-price-for-europe#xj4y7vzkg NishantXavierFor Christ the King 16:32, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

So Russia sells at a discount to its ally, while the US jacks up its price 400% to its NATO & EU partners. Hmm, what a deal. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 16:59, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
Lemme 'splain something not reported in bs headlines like this: with an underwater pipeline like Nordstream, Russia and Germany had a 20 year long term contract at a discounted price, say $2.30. The daily cash-n-carry spot price for others in Europe was $4.00. When Biden blew up the pipeline, the cash-n-carry spot price for American gas was $8.00. But the Germans, or at least their idiot government, thinks paying 400% more, plus the building of overhead infrastructure to receive and store LNG from the USA, plus shelling out billions in cash to keep the corrupt Zelensky regime in power, plus demilitarizing themselves with their expensive worthless tanks and weapons and allowing their USA slave masters to commit terrorist attacks on their own civilian infrastructure, that that is somehow a better deal than living in peace and mutually beneficial trade with their Russian neighbors, after being on the losing end of an all-out race war they started after centuries of conflict. Yah, right. Makes perfect sense to the neocon fascists running the Western world. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:10, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

More from Larry Johnson

"European racism and revanchism is alive and well and toxic as ever. The latest manifestation of this toxicity comes courtesy of the Atlantic Magazine publishing a piece by Phillips Payson O’Brien with the catchy title, The U.S. and Europe Are Splitting Over Ukraine. Ah, divorce is on the horizon? I pray that O’Brien is right on this point...."
RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:32, September 10, 2023 (EDT)
O'Brien sounds like User:Conservative:
Rather than engage in a serious debate, O’Brien opts for name-calling — he labels Tucker Carlson a demagogue for correctly asserting that some of the hatred directed at Russia is based on animus towards Eastern Orthodox Christianity. O’Brien insists:
Such claims are ridiculous, not least because Russia is one of the least religious societies on Earth.

So let’s fact check that whopper. According to the PEW Research Service:

Over the past two decades, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, there has been an upsurge in affiliation with Orthodox Christianity in Russia.1 Between 1991 and 2008, the share of Russian adults identifying as Orthodox Christian rose from 31% to 72%, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of three waves of data (1991, 1998 and 2008) from the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) – a collaboration involving social scientists in about 50 countries.

A more recent poll by Interfax confirms PEW’s findings:

Most Russians (68%) consider themselves Orthodox Christians, the percentage of such Russians in the 45-59 age group reaches 76%, according to a poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), which was obtained by Interfax on Wednesday.
The poll shows that 74% of Russia’s women and 60% of Russia’s men consider themselves Orthodox Christians.

Maybe O’Brien confused Scotland — his current abode — with Russia:

Just one in three Scots now identify as being a Christian – a million fewer than 11 years ago.
A survey carried out by YouGov for the Humanist Society Scotland says that those who identify as Christian don’t share in key Christian beliefs with around a third of Christians (36%) saying they “believe the teachings of Christianity’.

You will find similar declining numbers of Christians in France and Germany. Here’s a recent update on Germany:

Despite the history and the funding, less than 10% of Catholics attend church and only 3% of Protestants. In 2019 over half a million Protestants and Catholics officially disassociated themselves from their church.
It gets worse. Around half of Protestants and Catholics no longer believe in the resurrection. Only 40% of Catholics and 32% of Protestants believe in life after death. Atheists make up 24% of Protestants and 11% of Catholics.

Can we all agree that on this point Mr. O’Brien failed to do even a cursory Google search to try to validate his specious claim?

Estonia PM Kaja Kallas: it takes collaboration to win

"In her keynote speech kicking off Tuesday's conference, Estonian PM Kallas called on Ukraine's allies to work collectively to "mitigate the threats" posed by Moscow.

"Democracies can use technology to win every time, but there is a crucial fourth ingredient, and that is collaboration," she said.

"Take it from a leader of a small country on the front line of the free world, we need to do this together. First and foremost, right now, this means supporting Ukraine until victory with weapons financing and know-how but also bringing Ukraine into the collaborative formats we have [such as] NATO, [the] European Union and others."

Estonia has emerged as a principal ally of Kyiv in its war against Russia, providing extensive deliveries of arms and financial support, while welcoming the arrival of 115,000 Ukrainian refugees inside the country.

Tallinn nearly doubled its annual cybersecurity budget last year alongside the commitment to spend 3% of our GDP on defence overall, said Kallas. "The Chinese Communist Party escalated its persecution of Christians throughout 2022 as the country clamped down on churches and online religious content while demanding allegiance to Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to a watchdog group.

A report released last week by the U.S.-based non-governmental organization ChinaAid warned that the Chinese government is using charges of "fraud" to financially suffocate the house church movement, which consists of Christian congregations that have not registered with China's official Protestant church.

Authorities are using the traditional Christian practice of giving tithes and offerings to trump up charges against house churches under the "Measures for the Financial Management of Religious Activity Venues," which were updated last June, according to the report. The report noted that multiple house church pastors and elders have been jailed and potentially face years in prison."

Cowardice and high treason against Christ the King. A betrayal of fellow Christians persecuted under Communism and refusal to stand with them. Peace through Strength brings down Communism, it's done it before, and it will do so again. I stand with Jesus Christ, and Pro-Life Christians like Pope St. John Paul II and President Raegan, Peace through Strength Conservatives who brought down Communism.

To Communist Persecutors of Christians, Christ will say to them when He comes in Glory: "41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry [in persecuted Christians] and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Mat 25)

See also Mat 24:45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." "You should not look at the war in Ukraine as an isolated phenomena with no bearing on the global economic order. The war in Ukraine is a symptom of the breakdown in the Western dominated “rules based” international order and this disruption is reverberating around the world. The recent coups in Africa, for example, are another sign that the vassals of the Western feudal lords are no longer willing to be de facto colonial subjects. They want some measure of independence and are turning to Russia and China to find a way out." [1]

Vladimir Putin says that inflation in Russia is making it 'practically impossible' for businesses to plan

For more information, please see:

A lengthy war in Ukraine could be inflationary for Russia's economy. And it looks like the war in Ukraine could be lengthy (See: Essay: How long will the war in Ukraine last and what will its likely outcomes will be? A prediction on its outcomes). Conservative (talk) 12:28, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

Problems with inflation could be a big problem for Russia because many of its rural citizens have tight budgets and more limited job prospects. Conservative (talk) 12:37, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

Will the Ruble be reduced to Rubble by Putin's Unjust War? Nears 1 Cent

Russia is not a member of the SWIFT network. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:23, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Yeah, the west kicked them out of SWIFT over this war, so China happily stepped up to take our place. Now China has even more power. Great. So what next? Russia completely implodes, and becomes a vassal to China? --DavidB4 (TALK) 19:42, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
So given the fact that Ruble cannot even be legally traded in the West, User:Conservative and Nishant somwhow think this means it's fallen in value on Western currency exchanges. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:05, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The most powerful military on the planet today is not about to implode; however, the Western financial system is in danger of imploding, if not merely being cut down to size. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:08, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Let's make a simple, real simple, example: in the past, if Argentina wanted to buy Saudi oil, they had to buy US dollars first to make it happen. Now they don't. So that leaves a bunch of excess US dollars floating around the world out there somewhere, which eventually will return home and cause more inflation.
What compounds the problem is, the Congress keeps printing more money with Ukraine aid, disaster relief, covid relief, etc., dollars that nobody outside the US wants or needs.
We did this to ourselves, by threatening countries that if they don't adopt gay marriage, or don't acquiesce to the US overthrowing neighboring regimes like Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, etc. we'll sanction them, too. The rest of the planet is just fed up with US arrogant behavior and militarism. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:15, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

RobSmith, do Russians buy foreign goods? If so, would a lower-value rubble hurt Russians? Conservative (talk) 20:19, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

No, not really. Maybe a few rich people drive Porsches, but that's about it. The Russian economy is self-contained and self sufficient.
The US economy used to be self-contained and self-sufficient, but no longer; the US has an $875 billion annual trade deficit with China, meaning we export $875 billion a year in cash to our supposed enemies that could be used here to create jobs for homeless, etc. And what does China do with the $875 billion in capital they import from American consumers every year? Build a military! SHOCK! HORROR! Now we have to increase defense spending and taxes because Walmart consumers are helping to build the Chinese military! RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:29, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The Russians are sitting pretty good. They're sitting on everything the rest of the world wants and needs, food, oil, gold, lumber, rare earths, fertilizers, etc etc etc. And they don't owe anybody anything. As you say, they have a small population, so they all could get pretty rich. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:33, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The USA will have to decouple more and more from China due to the fact that their population is shrinking. You can't be the world's factory with worker shortages. Unless of course, robotics and AI are used. If this happens, then why would we need China? Just have the robots and AI in the USA to save shipping cost.
Secondly, the Chinese economy going down, which seems likely, will hurt Russia because Russia sells oil and gas to China. Conservative (talk) 20:43, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Good. Read the section I wrote at Coronavirus#Decoupling, that now needs revising since Biden's election theft and the fascist War in Ukraine. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:47, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
(ec) Let me say this one more time, and I'll try to be fairly clear: I think what you fail to realize is that we are in a transitional period of the global economy. It's kinda like, say, the period of 1945-1949 or 1945-1952, after WWII & the Great Depression. Meaning, all the old charts and graphs, or other data, you use to make comparisons from an earlier period, or projections into the future, are meaningless, and useless. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:47, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Now the global economy likewise had to go through a major transitional adjust period from about 1973-1976 after Nixon took the US off the gold standard. But that was a minor tweek of the Bretton Woods System compared to what is happening now with the rise of BRICS.
We are not just going through a period of economic adjustment, but of a global political transition, as well. And the economics will follow the political changes, not the other way around. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:57, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
I realize that the global economy is in transition. And I don't think authoritarian/corrupt regimes are in a good position to take advantage of the changes - especially if they are facing big and intractable (or very hard to solve) problems.
It will interesting to see how things pan out by 2030. Conservative (talk) 20:59, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
NYT today: "Russia has managed to overcome sanctions and export controls imposed by the West to expand its missile production beyond prewar levels, according to U.S., European and Ukrainian officials, leaving Ukraine especially vulnerable to intensified attacks in the coming months”. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:28, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
I think the true test will come when China's economy starts having bigger problems and orders less oil from Russia. See: Essay: A Chinese economic collapse will be Russia's downfall
Also, "China’s slumping economy is likely curbing many of its foreign policy ambitions and prompting a rethink of its policy toward the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Xi may dial back China’s pro-Russia neutrality, but only reluctantly and partially."[2]
And traditionally, sanctions are tightened over time. Maybe Germany will wise up and reignite their nuclear energy industry. But to be honest, Germany is acting so irrationally, who knows what they are going to do next. Conservative (talk) 23:36, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
