Essay: Most liberal American cities
These most leftist cities typically have even more draconian Nanny state local laws in addition to the onerous liberal state laws in support of the progressive police state, especially support for Gun free zones, Gun control and ammunition control, along with the Homosexual agenda (see San Francisco values), and illegal immigration "sanctuary" and tend to follow Hollywood values in terms of drugs and other liberal values.
Liberal Cities Generally Found in "Unfree States"
Almost all of the liberal cities, with the exception of Austin, Texas, are found in the Blue state liberal Democrat "death spiral" Nanny states / progressive Police states. "The East Coast and West Coast (Left Coast) had the most liberal states including all of New England, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington."
Phil Reiff, Director of the liberal Bay Area Center for Voting Research says, "While there are a few liberal cities without large African American populations, these wind up being the exceptions. The list of Americas most liberal cities is dominated by cities with large African American populations that are concentrated in the Northeast, Midwest and California."
Americas Most Liberal Cities (in descending order)
- Vote with your feet from an Unfree state to a Free State to escape the leftist Welfare state - Nanny state - progressive Police state
- Contrast with Red states
- Despite being in the fairly conservative state of Texas, Austin's liberalism is due to a toxic mix of professor values (the city is the home of the liberal University of Texas at Austin), hippie culture (Austin is known for its secular music scene, calling itself "The Live Music Capital of Texas" and "Keep Austin Weird"), relocations of high-tech companies from California (who bring their failed leftist policies with them), and being the state capital (seats of government traditionally are liberal due to leftists desire to expand government at all costs).
