Happy New Year!!!

What is your New Year's resolution?--Geopolitician (talk) 01:58, January 1, 2023 (EST)

I have several New Year's resolutions: 1) Work 70+ hour weeks 2) Read 5 chapters of the Bible each day. 3) Develop/increase some of my work skills 4) Launch a new business 5) Finally use my time management software on a consistent basis. 6) Do some international travel. 7) Learn accelerated learning and memory improvement techniques which will be great for remembering people's names and learning new information. Conservative (talk) 02:08, January 1, 2023 (EST)
Right now, it's to duck and cover. My neighbor's firing his AR 15 in the backyard (it's midnite here right now). RobSGive Peace a chance 02:10, January 1, 2023 (EST)

Trump tax returns released

Given that the release of Trump's tax returns are clearly a felony, I certainly hope that the next Republican attorney general puts the members of the January 6 committee behind bars.[1] PeterKa (talk) 10:19, January 1, 2023 (EST)

Not illegal to release Trump tax records. The committee members are shielded by the Speech and Debate Clause from liability for statements they make in committee. Thus, they can legally release the records. [2]--LSimons (talk) 23:36, January 11, 2023 (EST)
I would be happy if the merely put Ray Epps behind bars. Republicans need to toughen up. Hillary Clinton should be behind bars. Trump had his chance. Lock her up! Conservative (talk) 10:27, January 1, 2023 (EST)
First things first. The entire DOJ needs house cleaning top to bottom. 90% of its 110,000 employees are the FBI. The FBI needs to be disbanded, and split in two parts, severing counterintelligence from law enforcement. This will take a Church Committee or 9/11-style investigation. It should have been done in 2017, but the Republican-controlled Senate Intel Committee was complicit in Russiagate. So how do you reform a legislative branch complicit in domestic surveillance, subversion, and law breaking?
Then there's the CIA, which now routinely interferes in domestic politics. How do you reign that in (considering it owns the Washington Post and influences domestic public opinion)?
Trump said his mistake was appointing Jeff Sessions; but Sessions was powerless in such an agency that is hostile to Republicans and now outside Congressional oversight.
The problems, my friends, are much deeper than you can imagine, and can only be resolved by educating citizens. But that's a problem in itself, given the level of censorship (and rigged elections).
None of what's happening now, revealed in the Twitter files, is a surprise to anyone who read the Snowden revelations. All of it is documented here in CP in two or three Portal pages which could be edited down into a single article focusing on the Snowden revelations. RobSGive Peace a chance 11:18, January 1, 2023 (EST)
The DOJ is comprised of more than 113,000 employees of which about 35,000 work for the FBI. The CIA owns the Washington Post? Where are you getting your information? --LSimons (talk) 23:46, January 11, 2023 (EST)
Archie C. Epps was the Dean of Students at Harvard University from 1971 to 1999, and he didn't receive much respect either, to tell you the truth.
Rolling Stone magazine's Dan Zevin recounted in the March 21, 1991 issue how the Harvard Lampoon treated him:
Today’s Poonies are carrying the madcap torch, and this afternoon’s fake rally was just an example. Harvard’s merry pranksters have also replaced stacks of tedious Crimson issues with far more engrossing facsimiles. “Mysterious Vagina Appears on Epps’ Penis,” read a recent headline, referring fearlessly to Archibald Epps, dean of students.
Well, Dan Zevin should speak for himself. Such fare makes no better than a fair-to-middling conquest of my attention.
What really brings this to our attention today, is the question, how is what secures upon us such a trivial interest, is so readily available on the internet, while items like one of the first popular uses of the word "politically correct", quoted in the same magazine in 1991, is nowhere to be found?
I guess social progressivism must rise from academia where no attention is directed, but such concepts that come to hold such a grip on the popular attention and eventually public policy, is forced upon our attention. I suppose this process should really hold no interest for us, either historically, or in the history of ideas!
Later in the year, the successful Jewish man who mysteriously made use of the unknown phrase just after America's liberation of Kuwait thought a certain part of his personal life to be of such great interest, that he announced it: his involvement in same-sex attractions!
Some of the progenitors of such far-from-neutral impositions on the character of American social life certainly receive financial emoluments far out of proportion to their fame in that respect: The man managed to donate over $300 million to the UCLA Medical Center of whom he is the namesake!
Anyway, as I said, eleven years before the Jewish man became untouchable in the field of rock music philanthropy, he "virtue-signalled" the phrase, which, after a flood of leftist militancies in various social arenas arose, was soon to be seen to act as an umbrella phrase for countless patrolling activities of progressive orthodoxy, which, along with its succeeding movements, apparently met with resounding popularity to defeat many, many conservative intiatives down to the previous calendar year, while strangely Bush's liberation of Kuwait just previously met with limited progressive resistance, even allowing Bush's approval rating to rise to 90%, per journalist account of American polling organizations. VargasMilan (talk) Tuesday, 22:00, January 3, 2023 (EST)
Why don't you add the Epps material to the Epps article (if you have qualified sources on the information) and create a Dan Zevin page? RobSGive Peace a chance 22:10, January 3, 2023 (EST)
I don't think you're paying attention, Rob. This is Archie Epps not Ray Epps.
VargasMilan, is this new untasty word salad of yours overdoused in expired dressing meant to be another string of antisemitic "Jewish conspiracy" agitprop like that last post about how "Semites" are supposedly "meddling in the affairs of other countries," per your own words verbatim? If so, then please go tell your RW bosses and/or comrade goons that this recent subversion mission of yours got identified and busted. —LT (Mark 8:36) Wednesday, 22:18, January 3, 2023 (EST)
He's talking about a different Epps, Archibald Epps evidently. It's unrelated presumably to either Ray Epps or Trump's tax returns. A mere coincidence of last names, unless Varags wants to prove a relationship.
Careful in criticizing the poster; RW accused me derailing conversations all the time, and User:Conservative routinely posts extraneous and impertinent information to discussions on talk pages in Conservapedia. RobSGive Peace a chance 22:34, January 3, 2023 (EST)

Oh no! Not only is it conspiratorial, but incomprehensible as well? I guess I failed in my task to be a clear communicator again. And a traitor to the opposition too? That's bad. Maybe you should spend more than eighteen minutes perusing, before coming to such evaluations of my character that provides such stark, lurid contrasts to both virtuous behavior and even all our previous communications between each other before.

VargasMilan (talk) Tuesday, 22:31, January 3, 2023 (EST)
Your previous posts, being highly questionable at best, were highlighted by RW to paint Conservapedia as antisemitic. And now, you're back with a rant about some random "Jewish man." Somehow I don't think this is a mere coincidence. —LT (Mark 8:36) Wednesday, 22:38, January 3, 2023 (EST)
Not random; Archibald Epps would have been Barack Obama and Andy Schlafly's dean at Harvard. As a useless bit of trivia, it might be interesting to store and forget if Vargas can prove a relationship.
Sometimes a word, like "Epps" or "Putin"" or "Russia" can ignite a spark of creativity in a poster to spill his guts on everything they know, or think they know, on a particular subject, no matter how irrelevant to the topic. We all are capable of doing it. RobSGive Peace a chance 22:49, January 3, 2023 (EST)
Thank you, Rob. Liberal Tears, I'm not big on legal threats on non-officeholders like yourself, but like Rob, and like I warned you, you launched into your tirade without understanding what you were reading. Here's the key paragraph repeated, which indicates the real subject of the article was the Internet search that followed the bit of trivia I was intending to add, not Archibald Epps himself, and whose subject was another article I had remembered from that year:
What really brings this to our attention today, is the question, how is what secures upon us such a trivial interest, is so readily available on the internet, while items like one of the first popular uses of the word "politically correct", quoted in the same magazine in 1991, is nowhere to be found?
Archibald Epps was black, and presumably not Jewish at all. Liberal Tears, I don't appreciate you calling my carefully-researched writings any kind of agitation propaganda at all. It rather seems you yourself are agitated simply when you happen to read about the highly politically-convenient outcomes with which certain Jewish persons are found to be served.
I can remember accounts of President George W. Bush getting pilloried relentlessly by questions about his judgment in the media both before 9/11 and then for months into the war when those one or two American soldiers not maintaining a constant alertness got picked off by insurgent Iraqi thugs nearly every day.
What? Now Israel is supposed to be placed beyond the reach of cavil or critical questioning, having been discovered lobbing around 200 strikes into Syria in the past two years and for what good reason? I certainly have the right to raise questions about the constant state of war that is always seeming to go on there. VargasMilan (talk) Wednesday, 02:00, January 4, 2023 (EST)

You seem to be proving my point, doubling down in spouting nonsense about "Semites." And my ultimate allegiance is to the Lord, not to nation. Do you think I hold favorable viewpoints at this rate towards a country whose majority population uses "popular sovereignty" in referendums to advocate the genocide of unborn children? Just look around! Most women clamor for the "right" to murder their own children; most men lack moral courage; the majority support the desecration of marriage; the nation's present Administration finances worldwide terrorism, perpetuates anti-Asian discrimination, massive inflation, and border messes. And look at the youth of this country, mindlessly conditioned into godless cultural hedonism and supporting the new antisemitism front disguised as "criticism of Israel."
Nice try with the nationalist playbook, VargasMilan. —LT (Mark 8:36) Wednesday, 14:14, January 4, 2023 (EST)

It's always interesting when hear these Freudian slips from inside the Beltway: McCarthy: “Last night I was presented the only way to have 218 votes if I provided certain members with certain positions, certain gavels, to take over the church committee..." So the House Intel Committee {HPSCI) is still called "the Church Committee" inside the halls of congress (the editor of that publication evidently didn't know what McCarthy was talking about cause he didn't capitalize it). McCarthy further sweetens his offer to GOP dissenters

It's about time conservatives became more bold and assertive. First, they got a balanced budget under New Gingrich. Then they got Trump elected. Then Roe vs. Wade was overturned. And now this! Should Jesus tarry, wait until 2050 (or sooner) when secularism hits its peak in the USA.[3] Then the social conservatives will really start building momentum.

Due to their fertility rate, by 2050 the Amish are expected to attain 1 million in total population in the United States, and by 2222 the Amish could be the majority in the U.S. (By doubling its population every 20 years, the Amish population would increase by 1024 times in 200 years.).

Questions: Should Jesus tarry, will the United States elect an Amish POTUS in the 22nd century!!! :) Will the White House lawn be turned into farmland? :) Conservative (talk) 00:34, January 5, 2023 (EST)

Ukraine has one of the most corrupt and authoritarian countries in Europe. The USA should sell more arms to the Taiwanese who cherish freedom more than the Ukrainians. And unlike the Ukrainians, the Taiwanese actually pay for the arms at the time of sale!

Nathaniel P. Banks, had the longest and one of the most bitter speakership contests on record, lasting from December 3, 1855, to February 2, 1856. It gave antislavery congressmen important posts in the U.S. Congress for the very first time. Conservative (talk) 14:06, January 5, 2023 (EST)

All I have to say is that if Kevin McCarthy fails to put up a new rules package by the end of the day on Monday (as he promised), I will start calling for the 21 GOP Congressmen who stood against him to leave the party and caucus as independents. And if that means more of what happened last week, and possibly even a Speaker Jeffries, so be it. Rogers and Gaetz

We're starting to get some idea about what the Rogers-Gaetz dust-up was about: My theory: Gaetz demanded Rogers get booted off the GOP House Steering Committee. So let's discuss the parallels you see between Vince Foster and Stermon; are you alleging Stermon was a Mossad asset like Foster (agent of a foreign power), who was paid by the Israelis beginning in 1982 for information on the PROMIS software, which became the backbone of the SWIFT network, and then became White House General Counsel with access to nuclear codes? RobSGive Peace a chance 23:37, January 3, 2023 (EST)
I don't know if Vince Foster was a spy, but what I do know is that he was under investigation for alleged espionage and died under incredibly suspicious circumstances before the investigation was concluded.
Now the parallel isn't 100% perfect; but like Foster, Kent Stermon was also under investigation for a very serious crime at the time of his supposed suicide.--Geopolitician (talk) 23:42, January 3, 2023 (EST)
Foster was offed either by Mossad or the Arkansas mafia (the Clinton gang); likely the Clinton network of operatives cause he was an embarrassment to the new administration, the first Dem administration in 12 years. Either way, he had to go. There was consensus between FBI, IRS, the Clinton gang, and Mossad that he had to go without revealing too much (FBI apparently didn't want to do the dirty work in those days cause, at that time, they still had a reputation to protect. So they would have had to investigate and seek prosecution. George Stephanopoulos knows more details). The allegations against Stermon were of sexual misconduct, I understand. RobSGive Peace a chance 00:10, January 4, 2023 (EST)

It's no secret al Qaeda has been on the US payroll since the Arab Spring and creation of the Islamic State; others suggest a link between al Qaeda and the Mujahideen going back to the 1990s. At the present moment al Qaeda apparently is being dusted off and resurrected as the new bogeyman to gear America up for war cause the people just aren't responding to the Russia/Putin bogeyman the way deep staters had hoped ("the 80s are calling. They want their foreign policy back."). But in all this, do you detect a pattern? The US supports al Qaeda and Nazis. The whole planet sees it, only the American people are shielded from it by the MSM and popular culture.

The Chocolate War

Let's talk about The Chocolate War.

Here's the description from Wikipedia:

The Chocolate War is a young adult novel by American author Robert Cormier, published in 1974. It was adapted into a film in 1988. Although it received mixed reviews at the time of its publication, some reviewers have argued it is one of the best young adult novels of all time. Set at a fictional Catholic high school, the story depicts a secret student organization's manipulation of the student body, which descends into cruel and ugly mob mentality against a lone, non-conforming student. Because of the novel's language, the concept of a high school secret society using intimidation to enforce the cultural norms of the school and various characters' sexual ponderings, it has been embroiled in censorship controversies and appeared as third on the American Library Association's list of the Top 100 Banned/Challenged Books in 2000–2009.

Lol, that isn't true at all! It's not a "secret student organization" that manipulates the student body, it's the Catholic high school itself!

Who were the readership of this novel? Let's say you were 14-18 when it came out in 1974? That means persons of every description have read this book if they happen to be born after 1956!

So why does Wikipedia feel the need to bastardize and invert the import of this famous juvenile fiction novel?

Answer: Because they actually anticipate a time when Communism takes such a grip on the United States that all such dissidence, such as that depicted in the novel becomes impossible!

How is that in anyway an accurate, tenable or optimistic depiction of the American character? Yet it's the very operative assumption underlying those who think they can champion same-sex marriage not only in the United States, but across Europe and every other country to the point of enclosing the entirety of the borders of Russia itself.

What makes you think people want to sell chocolate to raise money for a Catholic high school? Are you nuts? VargasMilan (talk) Wednesday, 23:30, January 4, 2023 (EST)

Wikipedia, to put it mildly, is full of beans. This is apparent in its "ageism" article, alleging a straight line between its invention in 1969 to today. It failed to catch on, and was replaced with "sexism" instead, since by 1969 the Democrats cured racism in all its forms with various civil rights acts, housing, employment, and affirmative action laws. They needed a new victim group to keep the white liberal protestors active and in line, but the aged New Dealers were already feeding at the public trough with social security and Medicare. So they turned to the feminists and invented "sexism", after "ageism" failed to catch on. RobSGive Peace a chance 01:19, January 5, 2023 (EST)

Ah, it's the usual "Protestant good, Catholic bad" copypasta. It might interest Conservative to know that a century ago when the country was at a peak of progressive influence, it was Catholics who were conservative while Protestants were much more prone to supporting birth control and eugenics. Of course, both Catholicism and Protestantism have their terrible flaws, since neither properly represent biblical teachings. One claims to have authority over the Bible, and the other cherry-picks excerpts to interpret literally, resulting in absurd theological conclusions. —LT (Mark 8:36) Tuesday, 20:43, January 9, 2023 (EST)
<on a side note> If you want to understand Latin America, you gotta see The Pope's Toilet. It's hilarious. Brazil is lot like Ukraine, only Roman Catholic and less corrupt. RobSGive Peace a chance 20:51, January 9, 2023 (EST)
