If you hadn’t already seen the Hamas drone video still from two days ago, of 15+ Israeli soldiers chilling in a shallow sandpit, today we have Hamas video of a fragmentation grenade air-dropped on group of 25+ soldiers all chilling idle, out in the open, bunched up within a ~4.5 meter radius; it appears that at least 3 were killed or crippled, probably more wounded less severely. VERY lucky that the grenade only hit the edge of the group. Also, last night overnight (Tues-Weds), we got news of an ASTOUNDING 13 Israeli casualties (9 dead, 4 wounded) in **ONE** armored vehicle (from the first-echelon Givati brigade) hit by an antitank missile or possibly a tandem-blast RPG. Per the Ukraine war, WHICH HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 20 MONTHS: In an environment saturated with precision standoff tools to destroy your vehicles, the absolute MAXIMUM acceptable bodies in or on one vehicle (including driver) is 8, but ideally and more commonly 4-6. 13 is a total AMATEUR CLUSTER****. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing, how bad the need to get on that vehicle, because it’s a deathtrap, it’s better they stayed put. In short… Disperse or die en masse. COMPLACENCY KILLS, just as it killed 1000+ southern Israel civilians who lived on the edge of a tiger pit, but didn’t believe in gun ownership because, hey, “We have an army.” I still CANNOT FATHOM THE SASS, PRIDE, CLUELESS ARROGANCE of a military that willfully refuses to learn ANYTHING from the one truly major, modern war of the last 40 years. (I CAN ONLY ASSUME THEY THINK RUSS/UKR ARE DUMB N*****S, WHILE THEY ARE THE MASTER RACE.) As I wrote on **OCTOBER 8TH**, this may work for Gaza but it will NOT work against Hezbollah. ISRAELIS TOOK ALMOST 3 WEEKS TO PREPARE FOR THEIR “BIG GROUND OP”… WHAT THE **** WAS THEIR INFANTRY DOING WITH THAT TIME??? [3]

• Dreizin: Based on numerous Gayrab-Islamiac videos out of Gaza, Israeli army displays seemingly total absence of infantry screening of armored vehicles, whether parked or on the move. Also, most Israeli vehicles still LACK any welded-on RPG screens/grills, or even any on-chassis sandbags to protect their turrets or gun pods. Frankly, I’d go so far as to say that I don’t believe Israel has a “REAL” ground army at this time; it is a glorified military-police force with some special forces attached, similar to the Russian army that went into the Ukraine, 21 months ago. One saving grace, so far, is likely Gayrab-Islamiac disorganization (due to intense air campaign causing death/injury of many commanders & destruction of many communications / command points, also causing the Gayrabs some difficulty in navigating their half-wrecked tunnel network) & consequent evident inability to mount Durka-Durka assaults at anything above the squad or small platoon level. Israel appears to have learned nothing from decades of conflicts in the Ukraine, Iraq, Chechnya, etc. I just don’t have any more words to describe the pathos of what I’m seeing. They don’t seem to have much choice other than just to keep demolishing the place, using hyper-intense air surveillance and “intervention” so as to keep their casualties low. But the MSM “grace period” can’t last, WE ARE GOING TO START HEARING FROM MSM ABOUT Israeli difficulties this coming week, for sure.

Lindsey Graham Screams at Newsmax Reporter for Bringing Up Tlaib in Israel Briefing Wow, despite Cohen at first gratefully praising Graham, he gets viciously lashed out at. Now, one may wonder: why would Graham find the question so affronting?

The answer is simple: Graham is part of the uniparty globalist establishment, and the question was a challenge undermining establishment Democrats. Graham, as a loyal Deep State shill, thus instinctively can't help but defend his fellow Democratic establishmentarians in an outburst of fury, which if you notice closely was antisemitic:

Graham's response demonstrates how the American globalist establishment views other countries: subservient colonies that bending to the will of the enlightened initiated masters. He visits a foreign country for a press conference, and thinks that him being an American holds equal standing to a citizen of that country, enough to justify demanding that citizen get kicked out the crucial diplomatic conference. It's true that the larger picture of geopolitics indeed transcend a one-dimensional approach to political ideology—definitive standards can vary drastically between different nations, so the extreme right wing of a Western country may find common ground with the fringe left wing of a Middle Eastern Islamic-majority, anti-imperialist, anti-Western nation. But so long as the varying differences in political ideology can be grasped, there is not necessarily a need to entirely ditch the "left–right paradigm" that more or less is rooted in the Bible. "right/left" is very near to what I call "journalistic shorthand" - nobody knows or can agree what it means and the author only uses it cause there isn't space to explain more detail. Zelensky drops F bomb on Meet the Press

US, European officials quietly nudge Ukraine to seek peace. Zelensky drops "F" bomb on Meet the Press in response. "Quietly" is operative word, and Zelensky's high-profile, explosive response (now you have some clue about the type of diplomatic dialogue that occurs in Blinken's "private talks" with Zelensky) reveals Zelensky's Russian soul.

One thing that sets the Russian language, culture, and society apart from many others is the social acceptability of swearing, from 6-year-old school kids to 85 year old grandmothers. The offensive taboo that exists in many cultures does not (more properly, has not) existed in Russian society. In fact, swearing is an artform (I guess cussing somebody out in Russia's long-established multicultural society is considered more polite than beating somebody or killing them.)

Zelensky revealed his Russian soul by dropping an F bomb in front of an American national television audience. Despite all the Nazi rhetoric that Ukrainians are not Russians, Russian is Zelensky's native tongue, despite the law Zelensky signed banning his own native language and forcing people to speak only Ukrainian in public, which Zelensky does with some difficulty.

As America has become more Sovietized since the New Deal and in the 19050s, 1960s, and 1970s, it also picked up some Russian cultural habits, like the commonality of swearing public. Blame Zelensky's advisors who briefed him on this subject: they probability told him swearing in public in front of millions of American viewers is perfectly acceptable, just as in his native land. Biden loses the New York Times

In just the last two days, The New York Times has run "Trump Leads in 5 Critical States as Voters Blast Biden, Times/Siena Poll Finds" and "Joe Biden is in Trouble." Blacks and young people have turned against him. He is now the candidate of old white guys: "It's clear from consistent trends across multiple polls that Biden is bleeding support among Hispanic voters and Black voters — especially younger ones, and especially in swing states." Also, "The more diverse a state, the worse Biden does." Based on the NYT polls, Trump could get 300 Electoral College votes. I guess all that white supremacist bashing didn't do the job. Racial minorities also like law, order, and secure borders.

If there is good news about the economy, there is time for the polls to reverse themselves. But without the NYT and the mainstream media, Biden has got a much harder road ahead of him. My sense is that Biden would be much happier retired and living in Ireland. Its his wife Jill who is making him trudge on. Joe could be the one planting these stories. Morris says Biden won't drop out until July or August, but I think you and me concur it's likely to occur between Jan - Mar. The big trick here is dumping Kamala quietly so she's never even considered a contender.

In both 1976 and 1992, Carter finished second in Iowa (to "Undecided") and Clinton finished second in NH ("the comeback kid"), yet NYT declared both the Second Coming of Christ. I think Dems figure their media allies can spark enthusiasm and momentum for their new messiah, Newsom, overnight (and bring back the youth vote, etc). Not being a national figure, Newsom doesn't carry the baggage Trump & Biden do. There are probably people willing to vote for anybody but Biden or Trump, including Mao, Hitler, Che Guevarra, Hillary, Lynn Cheney, etc.

Jeffersonian Republicans were classical liberals who supported laissez-faires free-market capitalism and free trade, yet comprised the left wing of politics because they opposed the classically conservative and "aristocratic" Federalists. Subsequent hardline Jacksonianism and its left wing, especially the Young America movement under George Nicholas Sanders, supported free trade, the gold standard, the expansion of capitalism, and popular sovereignty. Of course, support for the gold standard changing from a left-wing position in antebellum years to right-wing in the postbellum era was due to changing circumstances: the central government was no longer dispensing gold alone, but greenbacks, and business interests once open to paper now supported a quick return to specie payments.

And so, the left-wing Democrats in the postbellum era were divided: some maintained the same positions regardless of changing political context (the purportedly "right-wing" August Belmont who supported specie in 1868 was previously a key figure in the radically liberal Young America movement), while others applied a consistent spirit of Jacksonianism now in support of greenbacks, particularly the Copperhead George H. Pendleton of Ohio. In Rutherford B. Hayes's winning gubernatorial campaign, the hardcore Jacksonian candidate William Allen used populist Jacksonian rhetoric in support of greenbacks against the "Money Power" and was labeled by Republican media outlets as a radical, Communist-aligned revolutionary. Machine politics also demonstrates another change in political ideology definitions: countless Northeastern "reactionaries" were once aligned with or sympathetic to liberal reform in Reconstruction and the early Gilded Age. The Liberal Republican Party, to the left of the regular Grantist GOP element, were adamant supporters of laissez-faires and anti-Communist. Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr., the poster child of archreactionary Republican politics in the Progressive Era, held sympathies with liberal reformers in the 1880s!

And the shift from the Progressive Era to the New Deal exemplifies the "old leftists become new rightists" perception further. Key Progressives such as Hiram Johnson, Burton K. Wheeler, and arguably even Clare Hoffman were once solid on the left, and yet at some point in the 1930s "moved rightward." Of course, what really happened was that the context changed: FDR attempted to circumvent constitutional separation of powers with his infamous court packing scheme, which was too much for Progressives to swallow: they were willing to support most New Deal initiatives, but the idea of packing the court to achieve liberal accomplishments was unacceptable.

The real shift in left–right ideology materialized in the World War II years. Price controls, stemming from a centralized bloated bureaucracy, was opposed by an alliance of conservatives and old-school Progressives, and because the issues were no longer primarily over tariff rates, public vs. private rural electrification, and tax rates on the rich, the Progressives increasingly aligned with conservatives in opposition to the "new liberalism" of FDR and Truman. The States' Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrats) was anti–Fair Deal, but many were once solidly pro–New Deal. In fact, a college student at one point brutally mocked Dixiecrat supporters for claiming to support states' rights despite never opposing New Deal liberalism. This basically should put to bed the J. Lister Hill/Kevin Kruse narrative that Dixiecrats were part of an economically conservative conspiracy.

I hope I am wrong, but I am suspicious of new speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson. See: Impeach Biden, or let him crumble? A big test will be whether or not the federal budget shrinks and/or by how much the federal budget shrinks under Johnson during his speakership. There was a period of time between 1835 to 1837 where the USA was debt free in terms of national debt, but it did take fiscal discipline.

In addition, the USA dramatically reduced its huge WWII debt and this is a fact of history ("The fall in the U.S. public debt/GDP ratio from 106% in 1946 to 23% in 1974 is often attributed to high rates of economic growth"[11]).

The three ways that national governments can reduce federal debt are: cutting government spending, raising taxes and helping to increase economic growth so the federal government's revenue from taxes increases. I believe that the USA should focus on cutting government spending and increasing economic growth (More oil drilling, USA cutting regulations again like Trump did, etc.).

Regardless, was excessive USA national debt successfully dealt with in the fairly recent past? I ask this question to demonstrate that if it can be done in the past, it can be done in the present.

Let's look at the last 60 years in terms of reducing national debt: "Doing so requires the federal government to generate enough income to pay for all its spending. The U.S. has managed this feat only twice in the past 60 years – and both times involved raising taxes, something Republicans are loath to do. President Lyndon B. Johnson managed to do it in 1969, and President Bill Clinton created a surplus that ran from the fiscal years 1998 to 2001, when he left office... Clinton’s balanced-budget recipe was a mixture of higher revenues and lower spending, with help from a booming economy. In his second term, he also negotiated a bipartisan budget deal with Republicans."[12] Newt Gingrich/Bill Clinton did reduce government spending, instituted workfare instead of welfare, etc.

History shows that raising taxes can help solve economic problems (As can economic growth caused by cutting government spending due to big government spending and other prudent measures such as having a pro-business/capitalism economic environment), but how about reducing government spending and/or increasing economic growth? Does it work?

As far as cutting government spending, your hysterical diatribe shows a lack of imagination and an ignorance of history and economics. If developing countries can successfully implement austerity budgets to pay down their debt, certainly a developed country like the USA can do so (Examples of developed countries having successful austerity measures: Austerity Measures in Crisis Countries – Results and Impact on Mid-term Development). For example, due to the Eurozone Crisis, austerity measures were successfully implemented in various European countries to help some countries remove some government debt. Measures taken by Euro leaders became very unpopular, but the crisis was dealt with in the end. Japan is now a pretty good place to invest because they payed off their debt and ended their balance sheet recession (Roaring Back From Pandemic, Japan’s Economy Grows at 6% Rate, August 2023). One of the greatest leaders of the 20th century was Margaret Thatcher who had the nickname of the "Iron lady". People frequently say that Margaret Thatcher's austerity and privatization policies (Privatization increased economic growth) were a "tough pill to swallow" but in the end her policies were very successful and turned the British economy around. As a result, Thatcher was the longest-serving Prime Minister in 20th-century British history.

Also, for thousands of years, mankind largely worked until they were unable to work. The Bible says to work 6 days and not 5 and in tougher economic times some people are going to have to work longer. In Proverbs 13:22, King Solomon wrote: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.” How are many more Americans going to do that if they retire at 65? The absurd and counterfactual notion that Americans need to retire at 65 is an absurd notion and many Americans now realize this and as a result are now retiring later. The age at which U.S. citizens can receive social security benefits should be raised for all able-bodied persons who are able to do so (Not caring for a sickly spouse who can't work). Also, the US Department of Education is a post Jimmy Carter institution and could easily be abolished so local governments have a bigger role. Big government in the USA can do some belt-tightening and to deny this fact is the height of economic ignorance, historical ignorance and foolish thinking.

I realize that things like austerity budgets and doctors telling fat people that they have to some dietary belt-tightening are things that can be unpopular, but reality necessitates corrective action.

With that being said, am I against the USA removing a lot of illegal aliens - especially ones who are not economically productive in the short and/or long term? It certainly can be done and I am certainly not against removing illegal immigrants who are economically unproductive, criminals, etc. Between 1953-1954 as many as 1.3 million people were deported during the Eisenhower Administration. What the next president does remains to be seen. Regardless, big government spending in the USA can and should be reduced.

Because it is unlikely that every single illegal immigrant is going to be eventually deported, what percentage of the illegal immigrants that crossed USA border recently and remain in the country are going to be economically unproductive? I don't know. Certainly not all of them as evidenced by the Trump Tower construction using illegal Polish immigrants. As in many things involving economics, there are winners, losers and tradeoffs when it comes to legal/illegal immigration. For example, a Harvard economist argued in 2016: "Here’s the problem with the current immigration debate: Neither side is revealing the whole picture.
