After the horrors of the [[Peoples Temple]] [[mass murder]]/suicide in late 1978, Progressivism fell into disrepute in America for 30 years until it was revived by [[Barack Obama]] and opponents of America's "cultural hegemony" during the [[War on Terror]] and [[Crash of 2008|Financial Crash of 2008]].
