Vladimir Putin says that inflation in Russia is making it 'practically impossible' for businesses to plan

For more information, please see:

A lengthy war in Ukraine could be inflationary for Russia's economy. And it looks like the war in Ukraine could be lengthy (See: Essay: How long will the war in Ukraine last and what will its likely outcomes will be? A prediction on its outcomes). Conservative (talk) 12:28, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

Problems with inflation could be a big problem for Russia because many of its rural citizens have tight budgets and more limited job prospects. Conservative (talk) 12:37, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
You're only telling half the story from Business Insider:
Business Insider: "Western officials told the outlet that Russia is on track to manufacture two million artillery shells a year, which is twice as many as Western intelligence originally estimated it could make before the war...Russia, in fact, is now producing more ammunition than the US and Europe, with one senior Estonian defense ministry official telling The Times that Russia's current production is seven times that of the West."
If you are going to use Business Insider as a source, use its full context. Don't mix and match and cherry pick to come up with your preferred narrative. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:21, September 14, 2023 (EDT)

Will the Ruble be reduced to Rubble by Putin's Unjust War? Nears 1 Cent

Russia is not a member of the SWIFT network. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:23, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Yeah, the west kicked them out of SWIFT over this war, so China happily stepped up to take our place. Now China has even more power. Great. So what next? Russia completely implodes, and becomes a vassal to China? --DavidB4 (TALK) 19:42, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
So given the fact that Ruble cannot even be legally traded in the West, User:Conservative and Nishant somwhow think this means it's fallen in value on Western currency exchanges. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:05, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The most powerful military on the planet today is not about to implode; however, the Western financial system is in danger of imploding, if not merely being cut down to size. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:08, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Let's make a simple, real simple, example: in the past, if Argentina wanted to buy Saudi oil, they had to buy US dollars first to make it happen. Now they don't. So that leaves a bunch of excess US dollars floating around the world out there somewhere, which eventually will return home and cause more inflation.
What compounds the problem is, the Congress keeps printing more money with Ukraine aid, disaster relief, covid relief, etc., dollars that nobody outside the US wants or needs.
We did this to ourselves, by threatening countries that if they don't adopt gay marriage, or don't acquiesce to the US overthrowing neighboring regimes like Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, etc. we'll sanction them, too. The rest of the planet is just fed up with US arrogant behavior and militarism. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:15, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

RobSmith, do Russians buy foreign goods? If so, would a lower-value rubble hurt Russians? Conservative (talk) 20:19, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

No, not really. Maybe a few rich people drive Porsches, but that's about it. The Russian economy is self-contained and self sufficient.
The US economy used to be self-contained and self-sufficient, but no longer; the US has an $875 billion annual trade deficit with China, meaning we export $875 billion a year in cash to our supposed enemies that could be used here to create jobs for homeless, etc. And what does China do with the $875 billion in capital they import from American consumers every year? Build a military! SHOCK! HORROR! Now we have to increase defense spending and taxes because Walmart consumers are helping to build the Chinese military! RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:29, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The Russians are sitting pretty good. They're sitting on everything the rest of the world wants and needs, food, oil, gold, lumber, rare earths, fertilizers, etc etc etc. And they don't owe anybody anything. As you say, they have a small population, so they all could get pretty rich. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:33, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
The USA will have to decouple more and more from China due to the fact that their population is shrinking. You can't be the world's factory with worker shortages. Unless of course, robotics and AI are used. If this happens, then why would we need China? Just have the robots and AI in the USA to save shipping cost.
Secondly, the Chinese economy going down, which seems likely, will hurt Russia because Russia sells oil and gas to China. Conservative (talk) 20:43, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Good. Read the section I wrote at Coronavirus#Decoupling, that now needs revising since Biden's election theft and the fascist War in Ukraine. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:47, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
(ec) Let me say this one more time, and I'll try to be fairly clear: I think what you fail to realize is that we are in a transitional period of the global economy. It's kinda like, say, the period of 1945-1949 or 1945-1952, after WWII & the Great Depression. Meaning, all the old charts and graphs, or other data, you use to make comparisons from an earlier period, or projections into the future, are meaningless, and useless. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:47, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
Now the global economy likewise had to go through a major transitional adjust period from about 1973-1976 after Nixon took the US off the gold standard. But that was a minor tweek of the Bretton Woods System compared to what is happening now with the rise of BRICS.
We are not just going through a period of economic adjustment, but of a global political transition, as well. And the economics will follow the political changes, not the other way around. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 20:57, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
I realize that the global economy is in transition. And I don't think authoritarian/corrupt regimes are in a good position to take advantage of the changes - especially if they are facing big and intractable (or very hard to solve) problems.
It will interesting to see how things pan out by 2030. Conservative (talk) 20:59, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
NYT today: "Russia has managed to overcome sanctions and export controls imposed by the West to expand its missile production beyond prewar levels, according to U.S., European and Ukrainian officials, leaving Ukraine especially vulnerable to intensified attacks in the coming months”. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:28, September 13, 2023 (EDT)
I think the true test will come when China's economy starts having bigger problems and orders less oil from Russia and this seems likely. See: Essay: A Chinese economic collapse will be Russia's downfall
Also, "China’s slumping economy is likely curbing many of its foreign policy ambitions and prompting a rethink of its policy toward the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Still, a systematic transformation of Beijing’s perspective on Ukraine or other key foreign policy matters is unlikely. Xi shares Moscow’s anti-Western hostility; demonstrates a very shaky grasp of economics, limiting his understanding of the scope of China’s domestic problems; and presides over a system that does not make major self-corrections easily. Xi may dial back China’s pro-Russia neutrality, but only reluctantly and partially."[2]
And traditionally, sanctions are tightened over time. Maybe Germany will wise up and reignite their nuclear energy industry. But to be honest, Germany is acting so irrationally, who knows what they are going to do next.
But maybe Europe will shift to the populist right politically and not be so keen about sanctions against Russia.
But after all is said and done, I really don't see Russia doing well long term. I doubt they will solve their significant problems such as their demographic crisis. Conservative (talk) 23:38, September 13, 2023 (EDT)

Update on Russia's supposed collapsing economy and Ukraine and Europe fueling the Russian war machine

"Gazprom supplies gas through Ukraine in a confirmed volume through the Sudzha station - 41.6 million cubic meters per day. Reuters; Tass.

User:Conservative: So let me understand this correctly: The corrupt Ukrainian regime, which only exists with US taxpayer support, is fueling Putin's evil war machine by getting paid to allow Russian gas to transit through pipelines on its territory for European customers who, under EU laws, are barred from purchasing it. Okay. Makes perfect sense now.

Lauren Boebert, hypocritical disgrace

VIA CNN: – “It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies,” Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel’s Office, wrote in the letter, which was first obtained by CNN." [1]

Well well, vaping and public disruption. So much for conservative values, eh? She marries a pervert, raises a teenage fornicator, ends up filing for divorce, and now this.

Remind you of anything? The Second KKK in the 1920s supported immigration restriction, working-class populism, "100 percent Americanism," patriotic nationalism, and "Christian morality," and on the last point turned out to be moral hypocrites when most notably their national leader, D. C. Stephenson, was convicted for the rape, torture, and murder of Madge Oberholtzer. Of course, the Second Klan, like the First, was a Masonic organization, so their religious appearance was a deceptive ruse the entire time in an effort to corrupt American Protestants, which proved effective when millions joined the KKK.

The racist origins of the Bush/globalist establishment Republicans in the South

As we know, the establishment wing of the GOP lost in Texas in the vote on the Paxton Impeachment. Many of them probably were allies of Joe Straus, a former Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives and spokesperson for Moderate Republicans. And a fun fact: Straus's political beginnings began as a chauffeur to John Tower, a beneficiary of the so-called "Southern strategy" that elected Eisenhower-aligned, anti–civil rights Republicans to federal office, the first time some positions were held by Republicans since Reconstruction. While Tower was relatively moderate in his civil rights opposition and did vote against the Gore Amendment to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (which his liberal Democratic colleague Ralph Yarborough supported), most of his general civil rights record was negative enough to gain the Texas suburban white support.

Another key case is Rick Wilson, one of the crybaby losers on the Lincoln Project. LP accused Youngkin in 2021 of employing a "Southern strategy," yet Wilson years ago posted a picture of a neo-Confederate "The South Will Rise Again" flag.

The historical roots are worth researching and reading up on: the early anti–civil rights white Republicans in the South in fact were not the old-school conservatives, but aligned with Dwight Eisenhower, who in fact was not heavily concerned with civil rights but sought Dixiecrat support in swing states like Texas. The Old Right conservative faction of the Republican Party was supported by the biracial "black-and-tan" faction led by Perry W. Howard, II, most notably in the 1952 presidential election when the GOP delegations from the Southern and border states supported the pro–civil rights contender Robert A. Taft—Mississippi's, led by Howard, and Arkansas', led by Osro Cobb, were the main examples. And then during the Eisenhower presidency, the black-and-tans were tossed aside to appeal to the "progressive" lily-whites, exemplified most in the likes of moderate Republican and segregationist Joel T. Broyhill.

Now, some may wonder: aren't the modern-day populist faction of the Southern Republicans rooted in even more racism than the establishment types were? Yes and no—probably a minority element of the ultraconservative side were early participants in racist propaganda appeals, though the shift of the rural areas occurred decades later, and didn't solidify until the 2000s. Even in 1980, Reagan lost the Deep South vote to Jimmy Carter! —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 01:53, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

DeSantis Campaign: Strong Second in Iowa "Good Enough" - Politico News

"“He’s got to keep pushing the Florida story as it relates to Iowa — both states having become punching bags for the national media,” Kochel added. “I think he’s got to keep coming back to the state, keep making the pitch, ‘cause it’s a good stump speech.”

One national GOP operative supporting DeSantis and granted anonymity to discuss campaign strategy, said, “I think we’re going to win Iowa; I think it’s going to be a great victory that’s really going to catapult the race. But a close second still is going to have that same effect.”

So far Never Back Down officials say they have received commitments from more than 12,000 Iowans to caucus for DeSantis. The PAC has 21 staffers throughout the state, and has spent $5.5 million in TV ads. It plans to shell out nearly $30 million in ads, mailers and other forms of direct voter contact in Iowa and the early voting state of New Hampshire by Thanksgiving."

Oh, so they admit they can't win. Of course, only two out of a dozen ever make out of Iowa. Their only hope is Trump stumbles over his own feet, gets locked up or assassinated. Where's the news in this story? RobSGive Peace a Chance! 00:14, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Many people think DeSantis has a Good Chance in Iowa, he's visiting all 99 Counties, and many State Evangelical Leaders support him, it just isn't make or break for him. I think DeSantis wins Iowa comfortably. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 00:43, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Here's what they are doing: they know he won't finish first, so they are prepping supporters for the eventuality when he doesn't so they can still call it a victory.
A week ago it looked like Ramaswamy might become the 2nd place finisher. He's down now, but he can still get back up. The contest for No 2 finisher is between DeSantis and Ramaswamy, cause only 1 will survive Iowa.
RFK was down two weeks ago when they played the antisemite card. He's back up already. Who knows what's going to happen? Maybe Larry Sinclair will come out of the closet between Iowa and New Hampshire and say he had sex and smoked crack with DeSantis or Ramaswamy. You can't bank on anything. DeSantis' revives Tea Party style policies

“This government is spending way too much money. They've locked in the COVID-era levels of spending, which are totally unsustainable,” DeSantis said Friday during a Fox News interview when asked about the looming budget battle between congressional Republicans and President Biden. “They should absolutely have a big fight over righting that ship.”

DeSantis tried to expand the scope of that fight beyond just dollars and cents, arguing that conservatives can’t defeat the kind of big government policies they loathe without first starving the federal leviathan. “Part of the reason our bureaucracy is so out of control, and this deep state has developed like this,” he told Dana Perino, who will moderate the second GOP primary debate this month, “is because Congress has not been willing to use the power of the purse to discipline these agencies.”

This is comfortable ground for DeSantis.

He gave former House Speaker Paul Ryan fits over spending while in Congress, and he bucked Trump by voting against trillion-dollar budget deals. This could create a winning contrast between the governor, who has a record that fiscal conservatives like the Club for Growth adores, and the former president, who once described himself as “the king of debt” and who left behind a nearly $8 trillion tab for taxpayers." https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2023/09/08/drawing_contrast_with_trump_desantis_gives_it_the_ol_tea_party_try__149733.html

Face it. DeSantis can't win on his own merit. He can only win as the default candidate after somebody comes up with a photo of Trump and Prince Albert with a 13-year-old girl, they lock Trump up, or the CIA takes him out. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 01:07, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Lol. Laughable. I work in Investment Banking, and when recruiting we look at contrasting resumes between applicants. Here, look at the Presidential Resumes, T: "I raised the Debt by 8 Trillion Dollars", DeS: "I ran Record Budget Surpluses in Florida". I'm amazed some say they are Fiscal Conservatives but then support Trump over DeSantis after knowing that. This is devolving into a personality cult. Trump did some good things and some bad things, it's time to move on and turn the page on Donald Trump. President De Santis will pardon him, he can comfortably retire and enjoy his life, but Governor De Santis is the Best Man with the Best Conservative Record, not only Conservative Pro-Life and Conservative Anti-Woke and Anti-Covid-lockdowns etc record, but also clearly the Best Fiscal Record. Records speak for themselves. In this case, you're the interviewer, and you're hiring the next President. Choose carefully and wisely based on the resume. 02:10, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Look at the polling. The Undecideds aren't enough to close the gap between Trump and DeSantis. It's not even a contest. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:33, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Reminder: DeSantis is estimated to have 45% Chances of winning the Presidential Nomination

"Lowry: So you’re like 50 percent on Trump’s chances now?

Rothman: I think he’s 45 percent. I’ve said I take the field, and I still take the field.

Lowry: That’s bold. MBD?

Michael Brendan Dougherty: I’m totally with Noah. I think DeSantis is either 40 or 45 percent for the nomination."

The Democrats are determined to take Trump out, one way or another. By his own account, Trump couldn't stop the Deep State when he was president in 2020. Perhaps dropping out of the race will be part of his plea deal. If that doesn't work, well, Epstein's suicide was practice. I don't know what's going to happen to Trump, but I don't see a happy ending if he keeps running for president. PeterKa (talk) 07:57, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
When a political party starts acting psychopathic (Tramples on the rights of others, domineering, arrogant, pathological lying, etc.) they have to be confronted via the rule of law and there needs to be a political realignment so they wind up in the political wilderness due to lack of votes.
So the GOP has to grow a spine via the rule of law and the Democrats need to keep bleeding voters. If they bleed enough voters the Democrats will either change or be replaced by another political party.
You can call this a "political intervention". It's like an intervention with an addict. Unfortunately, the Democrats are currently addicted to tyranny and immorality (late-term abortions, stirring up racial strife, incentivizing single motherhood, defunding the police, promoting sexual perversion, etc.). Maybe conservative Hispanic voters and conservative Christians will play a big role in this political intervention. Conservative (talk) 08:18, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

Agreed. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 08:20, September 9, 2023 (EDT)

‘You Lost Me’: Iowa Republicans Tell MSNBC Trump Has ‘Too Much Baggage’ – DeSantis, Others Can Still Catch Him

"MSNBC’s Allie Raffa was in Iowa on Saturday and spoke to GOP voters as the 2024 Republican presidential candidates converged on the state in hopes of wooing primary support.

Donald Trump has strong support in the state but it is not absolute, as was noticeable in his arrival at a college football game on Saturday. Raffa spoke to Republican voters supporting other primary candidates such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and told host Yasmin Vossoughian on Saturday that those Iowans believe Trump can be caught in the primary race.

“We spoke with quite a few Iowa Republican voters before they all started sort of flocking to the stadium here for this game,” said Raffa. “And sort of the gist we got from voters on the ground here, the majority of them had told us that they see potential in other GOP candidates besides Trump.” https://www.mediaite.com/tv/you-lost-me-iowa-republicans-tell-msnbc-trump-has-too-much-baggage-desantis-others-can-still-catch-him/ NishantXavierFor Christ the King 06:55, September 11, 2023 (EDT)

Continued: "Raffa then showed clips from two of those interviews. The first, with a woman who voted for Trump twice but said that he lost her vote because he is unable to admit when he is wrong, and that his legal issues are a big problem for a potential president. She is instead going to caucus for DeSantis, who actually brings “tangible plans” to the table, she told Raffa.

“I feel that he has too much baggage with his legal battles. And as our country is facing a lot of problems, we need to unify. And I feel like with him, there’s going to be a lot of fighting. He never even once said, you know, ‘yes, I did wrong. Yes, maybe I could have done this better.’ It was always, no, I never did anything wrong. I’m always right. Gov DeSantis statement on 9/11

Gov De Santis:

"As President, I will demand from each agency that they provide a detailed justification for every remaining redaction, and decide, in the interests of transparency, whether the public interest outweighs any potential harm in disclosure before making declassification and public release decisions. I will end the federal government's decades-long abuse of the classification system and will strive to be the most transparent administration in U.S. history.

“Finally, I join in support of the Ensuring Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act introduced in Congress to close loopholes that prevent victims' families from holding foreign sponsors of terrorism accountable. I supported the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act in Congress, which was a crucial step forward. The Ensuring Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act will help realize its full intent so the families can get justice and answers.

“We have shown in Florida that we can rise to the occasion to provide those who lost their lives on 9/11 the respect they deserve. I was proud to sign a measure into law in Florida earlier this year that designates September 11 as “9/11 Heroes’ Day” and requires history education regarding the significance of that day, including remembering the sacrifice of military personnel, government employees, civilians, and emergency responders who were killed, wounded, or suffered sickness due to the terrorist attacks.

“The pain of 9/11 endures for these families and all of us who remember that day, and its history must be taught for generations to come. Our work is not done until we have fully brought to light all the details surrounding the attacks, and those responsible are held accountable. I will not rest until both are fully achieved. We Must Never Forget.”

Ron DeSantis trails Donald Trump by 50 points in latest Quinnipiac national poll:
“ Another post-Labor Day poll says the Governor is losing ground.

Another day, another tough poll for the Ron DeSantis presidential campaign.

The latest from Quinnipiac shows the Florida Governor far behind former President Donald Trump. In perhaps the most discouraging news, DeSantis has fallen 11 points further behind Trump than his August number.

Trump is now at 62% support, 5 points up from the previous month. DeSantis, now at 12% support, is 6 points off the August mark. No other candidate has more than 6% support.

In concerning news for those who seek a Trump alternative, most of the former President’s support seems to be locked in.

“Among those voters supporting Trump in the Republican primary, 68% say they are firmly set on Trump no matter what happens leading up to the Republican Primary, while 29% say they might change their candidate choice depending on what happens leading up to the Republican Primary,” the polling memo asserts, suggesting that 42% of total respondents won’t budge.

The survey, conducted from Sept. 7 through Sept. 11, included 728 Republican and Republican-leaning voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percentage points.

It is the latest post-Labor Day survey to show an increasingly noncompetitive race. In a new TIPP Insights survey, Trump leads DeSantis 60% to 11%.

Meanwhile, the former President continues to troll DeSantis for his poll numbers on Truth Social.

“Is it that he is a not very skilled politician, or perhaps his not so long ago fight against Farmers, Social Security, and MediCare??? Or maybe it’s the lack of loyalty to the man who took the DeSanctus failing campaign, and through a strong Endorsement, got him elected. Whatever it is, few have ever witnessed a drop so fast and so severe,” Trump posted Wednesday. “It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?”

DeSantis calls out the Left's attacks on religious liberty: "The minute you get outside that church they think you need to bow down and bend the knee to their agenda. That's not religious freedom. That is not what our founding fathers fought for and established."

NishantXavier, please: don't in every single Main Page talk post lazily paste a long text block. At the very least, if you don't want to summarize the main points, kindly put the copy/pasted text under <small></small> so less space is taken up, seeing that you especially are plastering content written not by you. Also, that long string of text isn't formatted properly in the context of how the end result is "intended" to be structured, seeing that Twitter text format differs greatly from wiki code. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 21:19, September 16, 2023 (EDT)
Yah, and the "Graduated Yale University and Harvard University-Joined US Navy In 2004-Was Promoted...etc" belongs in the Template/Officeholder on his bio page, not here. And if it's already in his bio page, we especially don't need it here. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 21:36, September 16, 2023 (EDT)
As much as I vociferously oppose with you on other issues, I concur on this very specific point. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 22:01, September 16, 2023 (EDT)
You need to separate the two hats I wear - three actually. (1) An Administrator and Moderator of the site; (2) a content contributor; (3) a user who sometimes expresses personal opinions and points of view in discussions. It's not always easy to separate functions, but comes with practice. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:33, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

I've corrected the formatting. This is Conservapedia and Governor Ron DeSantis' Conservative Accomplishments are highly relevant to whether he is a True Conservative or not (as some allege/claim that he isn't), and to current events given this is primary season. I've spoken of some of these accomplishments of his myself, and some of them are compiled by others, in which case I always credit the source. Don't shoot the messenger, if you think he doesn't have some of these accomplishments, name them, and name the Conservative Candidate you think is better. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 21:38, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

The problem isn't in the generic fact that you're covering issues. The problem is how you do it; you are spamming long quotes by other people instead of at least summarizing and condensing it in your own words. I'm just politely asking that you refrain from the habit of copy/pasting long text blocks that repetitively; it may be easy and saves time, though it's objectively a mediocre habit for a conservative wiki. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 22:01, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

Accomplishments are accomplishments. They are brute facts, and I have summarized it in my own words before, DeSantis running Record Budget Surpluses for e.g. It's why some Conservative Groups give him a near 100% Conservative Rating based on his Record. And I even put it in small tags now that you asked. Now, no more distractions to meaningless things; talk about the issues, or I'm out. God Bless. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 22:07, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

Alright, I appreciate it, NishantXavier. It's not that there's anything wrong with pointing out facts; it's better to avoid taking up excessive space with directly pasted quotes. On the issue of DeSantis's record, yes, I agree that he has a solidly conservative slate of accomplishments. His record on racial issues is solid as well, as he's not afraid to dismantle the racist woke agenda, and he's signed legislation to punish antisemitic paramilitary anarchist groups. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 22:19, September 16, 2023 (EDT)
Accomplishments go in the bio article. However, I would issue a caveat against campaign promises, or at least do it selectively. They tend to boomerang in a couple of years. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:36, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

Yes, he's a very Pro-Israel Governor too. He'll be a Good President imo. Let's see how it goes. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 22:30, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

About the issue of Israel, I'm increasingly skeptical of the Zionist side. While the anti-Zionist is filled with all sorts of socialist antisemites like neo-Nazis and like-minded ultrawoke college students rallying behind Palestinian national liberation movements, that doesn't mean the pro-Israel side is quite innocent. According to Prof. Walter J. Veith, Benjamin Netanyahu is a high-ranking Freemason. It appears that the creation of the modern state of Israel is all part of a deception game concurrent with Futurist theology created by Jesuit propagandist Francisco Ribera in an active scheme to subvert Protestants away from Historicist eschatology that implicated the Papacy as the Antichrist or Whore of Babylon. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 22:34, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

Recommendation: Start the Ron DeSantis 2024 presidential campaign page. You can be the page manager right through the presential transition. If you need help, look at some previous successful and unsuccessful candidate's pages as a model. You can add all the daily stuff you find there rather than here (try to edit it down somewhat, cause the more successful he becomes the more space you'll have to edit and reclaim later).

And if the FBI starts spying on his campaign to sabotage it, you'll have a contemporaneous record to work with (the Obama DOJ-NSD even began plotting to sabotage Trump a month before he came down the escalator to announce his candidacy in June 2015). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:48, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

I'm barely interested in the Republican presidential campaigns. The candidates are either corrupt establishment-owned globalist shills or antichrists. At the end of the day, the thesis/antithesis deception is only further perpetuated. If a globalist wins, the intent is to continue sowing misery and anger so eventually the populist "antithesis" rides the wave of backlash to political power. If Trump wins in 2024, perhaps we're closer to the end than I anticipated. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 22:50, September 16, 2023 (EDT)
Oh no, I was talking to Nishant. He should be CP's point man on covering DeSantis, however long DeSantis lasts, through the primaries, up to the convention, up to the general election and into the transition. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 22:54, September 16, 2023 (EDT)

Ok, Rob, I took your suggestion. The page is up: https://www.conservapedia.com/Ron_DeSantis_2024_presidential_campaign I only highlighted two unique accomplishments for now, (1) 6 week Heartbeat Bill, (2) Record of Military Service. I will add more as the Campaign goes on.

A reminder of where Polls were roughly a year ago

From Politico, in Nov 2022: "According to the polling memo, which is based on survey data conducted Nov. 11-13, DeSantis leads Trump by 11 percentage points in Iowa and by 15 points in New Hampshire. Those numbers represent an improvement for DeSantis since August, when previous Club for Growth’s polling found Trump with a 15-point lead in Iowa, while the two were tied in New Hampshire.

The memo also says that DeSantis leads Trump by 26 points in Florida and 20 points in Georgia. In August, DeSantis led Trump by 7 percent in Florida and 6 percent in Georgia. The polls, conducted by Republican firm WPA Intelligence, surveyed likely GOP voters."

Yeah, DeSantis was fierce in his advocacy for unborn children. Shame to see the Republicans less solidly prioritizing of the pro-life issue under Trump—at a Republican convention (in Florida, I believe) several years back, most participants in a poll considered immigration far more important, with a very low percentage ranking abortion as a priority issue to emphasize. The socialist wing of the party under Trump is too busy appeasing ethnonationalists than fighting for the right to life. Otherwise-solid Candace Owens mistakenly says: "Resume doesn't mean anything" (about DeSantis). It does

Candace Owens, who is otherwise solid, implicitly acknowledging DeSantis has a Great Resume, says an "it factor", and "working a crowd" are allegedly more important than having a Great Record and actual Conservative Governance. While I disagree, it still gives a fascinating insight into the thinking of the average Trump voter. The person below thinks, and I agree, more and more will gravitate to DeSantis in the next few months. From: https://twitter.com/Unfilteredboss1/status/1703236752146874532

"PBD: DeSantis has an incredible resume.

Owens: Resume doesn't mean anything. You gotta have the it factor and know how to work a crowd.

So much to unpack here. First of all if working a crowd is more important to voters than an actual incredible and flawless resume, then our country is truly in trouble. Secondly, 2023 Trump is not 2015 Trump. He is a shell of himself. A low energy, bitter old man with declining mental health who can't stop talking about the past.

Lastly, what makes DeSantis exceptional is his work ethic, his uncompromising resolve, and his intense discipline and devotion to the mission. In times like these, that is what Americans will gravitate to." NishantXavierFor Christ the King 09:28, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

DeSantis and Trump on Covid Vaccines

"“Donald Trump, he’s basically saying he did everything was right. And I think that means you should understand he would do the same thing all over again, if put in that position, and that would be disastrous for our country,” DeSantis said.

On the campaign trail, DeSantis has regularly criticized Trump for elevating Fauci during the pandemic, calling the presidential commendation award a “gut punch” and arguing he should have been fired.

“Clearly, Dr. Fauci should have been fired. He caused a lot of damage. And not only was he not fired, Donald Trump gave Fauci a presidential commendation, on January 19, 2021, his last day in office,” DeSantis said at an event in Coralville, Iowa in August. “I think that that was a gut punch.”

DeSantis’ administration on Wednesday advised people younger than 65 against getting the new Covid-19 shots from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna, contradicting federal health officials’ guidance."

Perhaps you have difficulty understanding CP's editorial stance: CP is in the pro-Trump camp, as of now. The DeSantis news (or Vivek or Nikki) doesn't really make it to MPR, unless it's real bad. It's open season on Pence.
Now, that's not to say CP's position can't change, barring assassination or some other such circumstance. But spamming this page with the latest DeSantis news, most of which is poorly written propaganda, isn't really going to persuade anyone right now. It's best keeping at the Community Portal, should anything worthwhile or of interest occur. Thanks. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 17:26, September 15, 2023 (EDT)

Yes, I'm aware the editorial stance of the site is pro-Trump. But new information is coming to light every day, including for e.g. DeSantis' and Trump's contrasting answers on the Woke Trans Issue in that Megyn Kelly interview. Many people who were pro-Cruz last time around in the primary became pro-Trump in the general, and I think something similar will happen this time. Wait and watch. Only this time, I daresay the consensus would be around DeSantis. People will read and watch these interviews and statements of the Candidates and make up their minds. Who is failing to speak out? I already condemned that one extremist. Why do you refuse to condemn Putin's extremism that, at the height of the War, caused around 10 MN Ukrainians to suffer displacement from their homes, both within and outside Ukraine? Since most Ukrainians are Christians (around 90%) Putin is responsible for more Christians having to flee their homes these past 1.5 years than just about anyone. If you think that dubious distinction is worth something or worth celebrating, like his new found dubious distinction of celebrating North Korea, the #1 Nation in the Persecution of Christians according to Open Doors, go for it. I stand with traditional Raeganite Peace through Strength. You were once strong on the CCP, Rob, but you've been slipping on that too sadly. Let Putin leave Ukraine and end the War. Trump: DeSantis 6 week Abortion Heartbeat Bill - an objective Conservative Victory - allegedly "a terrible mistake"

What say you, Trump supporters? Still think the man who once described himself as "pro-choice in every respect" doesn't retain some residuals of his earlier pro-choice position? Frankly, he's mistaken. DeSantis didn't make "a terrible mistake". Trump just did.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1703412453839622374 NishantXavierFor Christ the King 10:47, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

With the Dobbs decision, abortion is no longer a federal issue. For a guy running for governor of Florida? Yes, it is a campaign issue; for a guy running for president? No, it is not.
Nice try, though. Voters are confused enough without us adding to their confusion. Our task is untangle that confusion. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 10:56, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
Abortion in the military is a remaining federal issue; now the movement to abolish capital punishment in the states has gained traction, but not in the federal government. There is somewhat of a parallel there. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:20, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

Trump is selling Pro-Lifers out. I doubt this will play well in Iowa which, like Florida, has a 6 week bill: "if a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected". HeartBeat Bills have saved countless lives. It's the duty of a Pro-Life President at least to express moral support for such Pro-Life Bills and approve, commend and praise them, as a President DeSantis will do, but Trump did not. I know some Pro-Lifers who are calling this disqualifying, including former Trump supporters. Bad. At a minimum, a 15 week federal abortion ban and encouragement of 6 week abortion bans at the state level can and should be rightly expected from a so-called Pro-Life President. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 11:22, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

The law as it exists now is, a woman in a state with strict abortion laws can join the military and get a free, taxpayer funded abortion. This more an issue at the Congressional level. That's what we need to focus on educating voters about. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:24, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
Here's the danger: if we try to give the impression that voting for president makes a difference or solves the problems in abortion, essentially telling people to ignore who's running for state house or state senate cause the President will take care of the problem, that backfires - as it did for 50 years.
We finally got SCOTUS stacked to overturn Roe v. Wade; the rules of the game have changed. Now we need a focus on state and federal legislators, not the Executive so much as has been the habit for 50 years. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:31, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
If you want to thank anyone for overturning Roe v. Wade, thank liberal communist Democrat scumbag Leader Harry Reid. He's the guy who changed the rules in the Senate to appoint federal judges with a simple 51 vote majority. That untangled the Gordian Knot that existed for half a century. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:36, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
It was an historical fluke that made it possible, and Glitch McConnell - give him credit - he seized upon it. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:39, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
The problem with DeSantis remains: every indication is that he's part of the controlled opposition, the uniparty, a deep stater. And the more he tries, the more he gets exposed. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:48, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
IOWs, the Heart Beat bill issue at the Presidential level, is a deceptive, bogus issue.
There are way more important Presidential issues that need to be focused on, for example taxpayer-funded Nazis. Discussion of Heart Beat bills is a deliberate distraction from actual issues only a president can deal with. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:53, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

We need 2 Terms of a President DeSantis, he will undo all the damage done by Biden and Obama, and turn the Courts in a Conservative Direction, perhaps forever. That's how you win the Culture War once and for all, not drag it on for 50 years more. Then, there are other reforms needed at the federal and state level, and those can be done in time. I repeat: 15 week minimum at federal level, encouragement of 6 week Heartbeat Bills from the Presidential Pulpit. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 11:54, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

DeSantis is faithful to his Conservative Base. Trump sells out in order to be a people-pleaser and to get some more Dem chums/friends.NishantXavierFor Christ the King 11:56, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

The culture wars are a bottom-up issue, fought out in each individual's heart. Not top down. (In this sense, LT has somewhat of a grasp). RobSGive Peace a Chance! 11:58, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
The fact that the pro-life movement is resorting to federal legislation to further its ends (which are honorable by all means) demonstrates its failures at the individual level. They failed to bring the new generation into repentance and out of the pagan ritual of sacrificing children to Moloch, and then expect the federal government to step in and fix the cultural problem they bungled. Instead of sufficiently convincing everyday people in their daily lives that unborn children are valuable individual human lives, and having failed to raise children to be sufficiently conscientiously moral people, they start scrambling upon finding out that society is not as godly as they hoped.
What can I say at the end of the day? The foremost leaders failed—they ran ridiculously weak campaigns. Had they truly had the zeal to fight for unborn life, they would've continued, without apology and in righteous anger, compared abortion providers to KKK mobs and Nazis, as many have done. They would've continued to unconditionally castigate the pro-abortion movement as nothing more than a low-grade mob of occultist child-sacrificing bums no better than Nazis.
It is my opinion that the leaders of the "conservative movement" have failed the average, devoted moral, socially conservative Christian on purpose—they knew how incompetent they were, and failed on purpose because they serve a higher order that is not of God but of their father the devil. I already explained the thesis/antithesis deception to you guys; try figuring out the puzzle here! —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 12:10, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
Huh? "pro-life movement is resorting to federal legislation". Nishant is the only talking such stuff. I can't think of single legislator seriously pushing any federal legislation. RobSGive Peace a Chance! See Nishant, you even got LT confused now. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:15, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
Alright, to my admission, perhaps I typed too quickly and shouldn't have added "federal" in there. My emphasis is that the pro-life movement is focusing heavily on legislative action to complete what they miserably failed. Now, will you at least address my at-large point as well instead of gleefully harping on a single mistake I made? —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 12:17, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

Trump needs to give his heart to God. He needs contrition and humility and needs to say: "I'm sorry, Lord Jesus, I've sinned, by denying that Your unborn babies with beating hearts are human beings entitled to all human rights and legal protection".

Those with born again and regenerate hearts who know that Truth, and even some Secular Pro-Lifers who do, have every right to expect a Government as Good as the People, and a Pro-Life President who shares their Conservative Pro-Life Values, not "pro choice in every respect". Yeah, Trump is too arrogant to confess his sins and obtain a genuine heart of righteousness. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 12:10, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
How do you know? Are you God? RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:17, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20) Also, if you have the spirit of prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10), you should be able to gradually see clearly the larger game here. —LT Rev. 22:13 Sunday, 12:19, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
Simon, I have somewhat to say unto you... Simon, by her fruits, knew what manner of woman she was. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:24, September 17, 2023 (EDT)

It's not that easy. A president can't appoint who he wants. He can only appoint who the Senate will accept. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:21, September 17, 2023 (EDT)
