Bible

The biblical city of Aroer is located on the north bank of the Arnon River,[2][3] east of the Dead Sea. The precise location of Aroer has not been as of yet plausibly identified, though, some scholars believe that Aroer may be identified with the modern day cite of 'Ara'ir.[4][5] According to the prophecy of the Book of Isaiah, the city of Aroer will be "forsaken..."[6]
