Steve Womack (born February 18, 1957 in Russellville, Arkansas) currently serves as the Republican U.S. Representative for Arkansas' 3rd congressional district, having won the 2010 election to replace Republican John Boozman. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Womack previously served as Mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, elected in 1998 and reelected twice without opposition.
Tenure
He was one of thirty-five Republicans to vote for the Partisan Hack resolution calling for an Investigation on Capital Hill.[1]
In November 2023, Representative Womack joined sixty-nine other Republicans to vote to establish a new $300 million building to house the FBI, despite reservations raised by conservatives about the fairness of the agency.[2]
