Illustration of mass brainwashing

When Twitter suspended the head of the NATO alliance - President Trump - people applauded. When Twitter suspended four liberal propagandists, the EU threatened sanctions. What's the matter with this picture?

The facts are, Twitter has lifted restrictions against RT, and terminated its algorithms feeding Ukrainian troll bots and propaganda. Yet now we have a deluge of headlines alleging Musk is being threatened with sanctions over suspension of the propagandists. RobSGive Peace a chance 16:04, December 16, 2022 (EST)

FBI: Born to censor

Today's FBI is all about censoring conservatives and managing political activity on the Web. Eighty agents are assigned to Twitter and many more to Facebook and Google. They send out lists of users to be banned. Bye, bye, First Amendment. Communist China, here we come. Good thing we don't have a crime problem, war, or anything like that. No, there's nothing more important going on than keeping Biden in office. PeterKa (talk) 10:20, December 17, 2022 (EST)

And the Republicans are not doing much about it. Maybe the filibuster is preventing them. It's too bad that developing a conservative alternative to Google would be very expensive to develop. But even if they tried to develop it, Google's influence on the new search engine would be indirectly felt because websites that Google favors would have more inbound links. In the meantime, Bing is more conservative in terms of results and has more conservative users. Research has revealed that the typical user on Bing is generally over the age of 35, most commonly between the ages of 55 and 64, and most are parents. One-third of the Bing Ads audience has a household income of $100,000 or more, and 22% more was spent online with Bing than on average search engines.[3] Using a bookmark on my browswer, I have 17 search engines I can use depending on the type of search I want to do. Duck Duck Go also censors less than Google. Conservative (talk) 10:37, December 17, 2022 (EST)

Taylor Lorenz suspended from Twitter

Glory to Elon Musk! He has suspended the Twitter account of Taylor Lorenz, a professional doxxer for the Washington Post. PeterKa (talk) 06:25, December 18, 2022 (EST)

Watch what happens next as censor-happy online liberals who gleefully supported censorship of conservatives during the Jack Dorsey regime at Twitter suddenly start whining about "free speech" (i.e. illegal doxxing of anyone they don't like) and how they're suddenly all for it (but only for themselves). Northwest (talk) 14:59, December 18, 2022 (EST)
It's also ironic how Lorenz, in her lack of self-awareness, complains about how "...rich friends don’t follow any journalistic ethical rules" when that's exactly what she does (i.e. not follow any journalistic ethics) herself - then has no clue why she got suspended from Twitter (hint - it was anti-Semitism and doxxing that did it). It's like Liberal Logic 101 says of liberals like her - "Yes, they really are that stupid." Northwest (talk) 15:13, December 18, 2022 (EST)

Putin sends in the clowns to Ukraine

Sounds like Ukrop propaganda. We're going to have to teach you some powers of discernment. RobSGive Peace a chance 02:29, December 20, 2022 (EST)
What do you suppose this means, Zaluzhnyi supports increasing responsibility for servicemen guilty of desertion and disobedience, putting on a USO Show for insubordinates and deserters or shooting them on the spot? I'm sure Ukraine is a bit short on funds and manpower right now for prison guards to lock them up. RobSGive Peace a chance 03:10, December 20, 2022 (EST)
So with Zaluzhnyi and Zelensky criminally feeding 500 untrained soldiers daily into the hopeless Bakhmut meatgrinder, yes, Russian soldiers tasked with having to kill these people need something to lighten their spirits and improve morale. But it's nothing to laugh about, as the Kyiv and Western media propaganda apparatus tries to make it. Especially given today's and recent headlines:
So how does Twitter aid Pentagon propaganda? By suppressing the story about Zaluzhnyi wanting to shoot people who refuse to walk into the meatgrinder and promoting stories like Putin ordering clowns into Ukraine.
If you did the research, you'd discover that no president ever asked Bob Hope to do a USO Show, or that entertainment for the troops is something that never makes it to Putin's desk. Those articles are pure, unmitigated BS linking Putin's name to it. 17:34, December 20, 2022 (EST)

Here's a clue:

It would also be Zelensky’s first time leaving Ukraine since Russia’s renewed aggression began.

Maybe he booked a one-way flight, and got out of Dodge before the palace coup erupts. There's close to a full day flight time with a round trip. So allegedly he'd be scheduled to be gone from Kyiv for 48 hours right at the exact moment the regime's survival is at stake. Gone, allegedly to speak with lame ducks for 2 days who only have 13 days remaining, not counting two major holidays. RobSGive Peace a chance 18:20, December 20, 2022 (EST)

My guess is that Europeans tired of an energy crisis will start virulent Ukraine fatigue first followed by the Middle Easterns and Africans suffering from high food prices and/or shortages. And then it will spread to the Republicans. But if the USA spends enough on Ukraine militarily and on other matters related to Ukraine, it could spark inflation/stagflation bad enough to make a Democrat president to be unelectable. Conservative (talk) 03:03, December 21, 2022 (EST)
$45 billion will carry the Zelensky regime to about April 2023, assuming other factors don't intervene. That will be the first opportunity for the GOP House to cut funding. The 2024 budget which begins October 1, 2023, is usually voted on about May, sometimes in June before the summer recess if it particularly contentious. RobSGive Peace a chance 17:33, December 21, 2022 (EST)
oh, and "cut funding" differs from "eliminate funding". RobSGive Peace a chance 17:34, December 21, 2022 (EST)
In a hypothetical scenario, let's suppose the GOP "cuts" funding from $45 billion to $22 billion in May 2023 without eliminating spending authorization provisions; in an emergency supplementary bill (say, tossed in with other "emergency relief" packages for covid, hurricane relief, etc) in June that amount can be ramped up to $65 billion. It is the specific provisions that authorize the Treasury to transfer funds to the Kyiv regime that must be voted on and eliminated, not the dollar amount. Don't be taken in by MSM gaslighting and rhetoric, again. RobSGive Peace a chance 17:51, December 21, 2022 (EST)

Putin’s new strategy frustrates Ukraine; Why U.S.-made HIMARS can’t reach Russian soldiers

According the Hindustan Times, the USA is giving the Ukrainians enough Patriot missile hardware to cover an airbase, but not a whole city like Kyiv.

The British press are the biggest cheerleaders for the Ukrainians. My guess is the Russia Today (RT.com) is the most pro-Russian. The Indian news channels have given me the most objective news (Crux, Hindustan Times and WION). But The Duran is informative. And Joseph Mearsheimer and Colonel Douglas MacGregor are informative too. Conservative (talk) 03:23, December 21, 2022 (EST)

I listed everybody who knows what they are talking about and are worth listening to on the Putin propaganda page. There are a few others, for example people associated with the Lyndon Larouche movement, but I wouldn't cite them.
Basically, the only sources are on Telegram, and they are all in Russian. So you have to find a Russian speaker who can do timely and reliable translations. RobSGive Peace a chance 05:00, December 21, 2022 (EST)

Title 42: The barbarians storm the gates

A tsunami of humanity is massing on our southern border. It's AD 407, the United States is the Roman Empire, and the Central Americans massing on the Rio Grande are the modern Franks and Alemanni, who massed on the Rhine frontier. While the Germanic peoples were fleeing before the Huns, the Biden administration is paying for this invasion.
Why is Biden doing this? The most he has done to justify the policy is a ritual appeal to "racial equity." We live in a "democracy" in which the administration feels no need to justify a massively unpopular policy designed to transform the nation. How can Ukraine's border be more important than our own? See "Latin American Media: Migrants Marching North for Title 42’s Funeral." PeterKa (talk) 08:49, December 21, 2022 (EST)

Dry your eyes, mate. No matter how humiliatingly this ends for Russia, you'll always have the memories. No-one can take those away, not even Zelensky. ConwayIII (talk) 21:04, December 21, 2022 (EST)
Ever see Putin's Kiss? The nazis in this movie (and the film's producers) take pride in book burning. It was an early signal to me in 2012 that something was afoot behind anti-Putin propaganda. RobSGive Peace a chance 21:50, December 21, 2022 (EST)
Here's the scene (time prompted). Book burning is a very serious crime in the Soviet Union and Russian Federation, cause it's a red flag for Nazi and fascist activity. It will bring investigation down on all those involved. So here are U.S.-backed subversives flagrantly violating hate crime laws within sight of the Kremlin. And it's done to compromise a member of a youth organization of Putin's party, who just wanted to be like a hip Westerner and hang out with the cool crowd. Your tax dollars at work. RobSGive Peace a chance 01:08, December 22, 2022 (EST)
The American fascists in the Obama intelligence community neglected to tell these Russian revolutionaries that book burning really isn't part of the freedom and free speech agenda of liberal democracy. But heck, those killers in the deep state don't care what proxies get killed, so long as the overall objective - demonizing Putin and destroying the Russian state, is achieved. RobSGive Peace a chance 01:27, December 22, 2022 (EST)

[4] Who would have believed such opportunities existed for young people these days. RobSGive Peace a chance 03:42, December 22, 2022 (EST)
At the risk of repeating myself, all these Nazis running round in your head could really use a moonbase. Just to corral them for a bit, if nothing else.

Fanfiction? RobSmith's analyses demonstrate interesting points which seem well-guided by wisdom and knowledge of history, even if some of his ultimate conclusions are too often questionable/terrible, IMO. And Ukrofascism remains a serious problem in Eastern Europe as the battle rages between Azov Nazis and Putinist Russia. —LT (Exodus 23:2) Friday, 19:30, December 22, 2022 (EST)
Rob knows nothing about this war and precious little about history. It's mostly a product of laziness, highly selective reading and intensely motivated reasoning. If a source contradicts his priors, it's automatically disregarded. If you're actually interested, read up on Zelensky's 2019 election. The various extremist parties were crushed and couldn't even crack the 5% threshold for a parliamentary seat. ConwayIII (talk) 20:03, December 22, 2022 (EST)
I didn't get anything of value out of your ad hominem attack on Rob. I have read up about Zelensky's 2019 election and he was supported by the billionaire media oligarchs there, who I think fled with their riches long ago. Sen. Josh Hawley boycotted Zelensky's presentation to Congress for lack of accountability of nearly $100 billion being sent there, and which seems to perpetuate the terrible hardships.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 20:09, December 22, 2022 (EST)
From what I recall in the events of last year around this time, ConwayIII was created as a sock of an RW troll (Rockford the Roe, if I remember correctly), and thus behaves like an RW troll with such instances of fourth-rate insults. Although previous accounts by the same person were quickly blocked by Conservative for silly reasons, this one was ultimately allowed to stay on the site in the long-run, though nonetheless has been blocked a few times for trolling. —LT (Exodus 23:2) Friday, 20:15, December 22, 2022 (EST)
I disagree. ConwayIII is much smarter than Rockford the Roe at RW and not a "weirdo" (Rockford the Roe, according to his RW web page, is involved in "Furry fandom" subculture. Also, an admin of RW says the website attracts all kinds of "weirdos"[5]). He is also assertive in that he makes actual arguments (Which I don't always agree with). So I don't seem him hanging around a bunch of pansies like the denizens of RW (One of the RW admins called his fellow RWians a bunch of pearl-clutching pansies[6]).
It is true that Conway III has been occassionally caustic though. And so admins or blockers who have put temporary blocks on him were right to do so. Conservative (talk) 21:16, December 22, 2022 (EST)

Without strong American support for the Ukrainians in terms of military equiptment support, the Ukrainians don't have a snowballs chance in Hell. Americans have given the lion's share of military support to Ukraine by far and they are about to give another $40+ billion. As far as Americans supporting the Ukrainians as far as the Russo-Ukraine War, "In the latest poll, 33% of Republicans agreed with that prolonged support, compared to 61% of Democrats and 46% of independents."[7] Gallup's November/December polling shows the following political affilation of Americans: 42% independent, 30% Republican and 26% Democrat.[8]

"The data shows isolationist beliefs in the US have increased steadily from 28% of respondents in 2019 to 40% at the end of 2021."[9]

In Europe, which is experiencing an energy crisis, Ukraine fatigue is setting in more and more. And wait until 2024 when Europe may not be able to have sufficient energy stockpiles to go through winter. Just like Brexit put wind in the back of Donald Trump in 2016, European Ukraine fatigue will spread into the USA.

With the above in mind, why doesn't Putin have the upper hand if he practices strategic patience and drags this war out? There is also an incentive for Russia to escalate Russian efforts in the war in 2023-2024 in order to make Biden look bad and make him less electable. The Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War, while not ultimately being successful in the end militarily, shocked Americans because they were being told that the Americans were winning the war in Vietnam and so it succeeded politically in a major way. Public support in the USA for the Vietnam War took a huge hit. So on the whole, the Tet Offensive was very successful for the North Vietmanese.

Even if Russia loses and is beaten back and gives up all or most of Russia's land gains in respect to the war, what is to prevent Russia from taking a stab at it a second time? WWI was followed by WWII.

To solve this international affairs problem for the long term, it might require big changes from the status quo such as the elimination of NATO and for Russians to make big concessions too. But the odds of this happening any timesoon are very low in my estimation. A frozen conflict similar to North Korea/South Korea or hostile neighbors like India and Pakistan is unfortunately more likely. Conservative (talk) 20:45, December 22, 2022 (EST)

When the SMO began in February, Russia and Putin were fully aware the operation to denazify Ukraine could escalate into an operation to denazify and de-NATOize all of the West. They were fully prepared for that contingency, which NATO and the West have opted to escalate.

And so it remains that the main form of principled consistency in entrenched politics is... expediency. I believe Andy has been skeptical of Sen. Cotton for a while now; another "Conservapedia proven correct" moment? —LT (Exodus 23:2) Friday, 22:31, December 22, 2022 (EST)
Back in 2020, Tom Cotton was up for re-election. His only opponent was a Libertarian; there was no Democrat in the race. I repeat, no Democrat in the race. At that time I already saw him for what he really is, so I thought to myself "Hey, this is a really good opportunity for voters to reject both parties and elect a third party candidate to the Senate for once. Stick it to the Uniparty!" So I started promoting the Libertarian candidate (on other sites, not this one). And guess what? I was mocked and called a troll anyway. I was treated as if I had promoted a third party candidate in a race that did have a Democrat running.
I learned a very harsh truth from this experience: Many Republican voters are brainwashed. Even when there's no Democrat candidate to vote against out of fear, they're still conditioned to vote Republican no matter what. They haven't just been taught to hate the Democrat, they've been taught to love the Republican. It's a hive-mind, borderline totalitarian mindset, and it makes me question whether this country can be saved. A few months after this experience, I changed my party registration from Republican to No Party Affiliation. And I don't plan to go back on that anytime soon.--Geopolitician (talk) 22:45, December 22, 2022 (EST)
Republicans aren't brainwashed to hate Democrats. They simply know history - that Democrats use violence, intimidation, and ballot box stuffing to win elections, and the corruption that follows after Democrats take office predates the international labor movement, the Klan, Reconstruction, and the Civil War. The Republican party was formed to oppose it all. RobSGive Peace a chance 21:15, December 24, 2022 (EST)
While you're correct that most Republicans hate the Democratic party out of principle, the fact that they reflexively vote Republican no matter what even in the absence of a Democratic candidate to oppose shows that they are indeed brainwashed. In many ways, they are no different than their Democratic counterparts.
And while we're still on this subject, let me bring up another example. In 2008, Lindsey Graham was up for re-election in South Carolina. The Democrats screwed up and allowed Bob Conley, who was objectively more conservative than Graham, to win the nomination. Guess who won, and by a margin one would expect the more conservative candidate to win by in South Carolina? Not Bob Conley. Now, why do you think that happened?--Geopolitician (talk) 21:53, December 27, 2022 (EST)
The way the American political system has evolved is, you are not voting, or just voting for the ideological stance that a candidate presents in campaign speeches and press releases; you are voting for a party. A vote for a Democrat congressional candidate is a vote for Nancy Pelosi, or Cuck Schumer.
Now there's much much more that can be said about this. For example, MTG being stripped of all committee assignments meant that she could do very little to bring home the pork for her district, other than 1/435th of the bacon where it was spelled out in specific legislation - with no perks for her district. Most of her constituents probably didn't realize that a Democrat member of the majority party could have done much much more in terms of pork. A few of the more sophisticated Democrats probably made this a key point in campaigning against her.
So in that sense you can say those voters were ideologically driven. But given the threat Pelosi and the Democrats are to freedom and the Republic, it still a very practical decision. RobSGive Peace a chance 01:27, December 28, 2022 (EST)
Bob Conley was so hated by the Democrat establishment that they actually endorsed Graham in that race. Had Conley won, he would've faced extreme hostility from Pelosi and Reid. On a related note, the reason he ran as a Democrat in the first place is because he felt the GOP had been totally hijacked by the neocons, and the DNC still had a viable anti-neocon wing at the time. It wasn't until after Obama came to power that this wing began to be purged, which means a Senator Conley very likely would've become an independent or even switched back to the GOP at some point during his term. Of course, how many people were predicting that Obama would embrace neoconservatism back in 2008?--Geopolitician (talk) 22:34, December 28, 2022 (EST)
More on MTG: She's taking on a lot of criticism for support of Kevin McCarthy. What this means is, she's probably already cut a deal with McCarthy on committee assignments, and may have even been offered chair of a subcommittee to compensate her for her lost time. So she's anxious to prove herself as a loyal Republican, and doesn't need to be on the outs with the GOP establishment. RobSGive Peace a chance 01:40, December 28, 2022 (EST)
And the Democrats' attack on the schools - the dumming down of America by eliminating Civics education and History, is an attack on the GOP and effort to establish totalitarian control. RobSGive Peace a chance 21:27, December 24, 2022 (EST)
Sigh, to be practical, this country won't be saved. A quarter of citizens fanatically devote their lives to unconditional support for the leader of Mar-a-Lago; a third absolutely refuse to turn away from supporting the current Administration responsible for border chaos, antisemitic war crimes, anti-Asian discrimination in the education system, and massive inflation; about half ostensibly support the mass genocide of unborn children; most women believe they have a "right" to kill their own children; most men are either lacking in masculinity or infinitely prioritize physical impressions over moral courage; more than half support the degradation of marriage; more than half of the current youth don't know basic history; a third of youth support the new antisemitism agenda of BDS.
Well, if the world ends soon, at least Christ will be returning. If more signs of that become increasingly present, I should be devoting much, much more of my life to partaking in the Great Commission and try to save those around me. —LT (Exodus 23:2) Friday, 22:57, December 22, 2022 (EST)
