On March 2, 2025, the [[United States Justice Department]] under [[Attorney General]] [[Pam Bondi]] charged Mohammad Sharifullah, also known as “Jafar,” with providing and conspiring to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization resulting in death. After waiving his [[Miranda rights]], Sharifullah admitted that, on behalf of ISIS-K, he had shared instructions on how to use [[AK-47|AK-style rifles]] and other weapons to the Crocus Hall attackers.
