Homosexual act

The term homosexual act refers to any knowing, objectively erotic interaction between persons of the same sex, or, as the US Military puts it, "any bodily contact, actively undertaken or passively permitted, between members of the same sex for the purpose of satisfying sexual desires." [1]

Conversely, if the act is unknowingly undertaken, or is not objectively erotic, it may not count as a homosexual act, even if it is between members of the same sex, or if it is unsatisfying of sexual desires.

Such acts are forbidden by religious texts such as the Bible and the Qur'an and are illegal in many countries.
