Anonymous is the informal name of a group of American and European domestic terrorists and internet hackers[1] who carry out attacks on websites they object to, or just to cause havoc and mayhem.
Activities of anonymous include hacking the email and personal networking accounts of innocent people[2], uploading flashing images to epilepsy sites[3], putting pornography on YouTube for children to see[4], attacking the Church of Scientology[5], hacking news networks to claim CEOs of major corporations are dead to profit off the decline of the companies stock[6], and, in general, discouraging use of the internet for productive or decent purposes.[7]
On December 13, 2009, some members of Anonymous created accounts at Conservapedia and vandalized articles here.
