====Criticism of Kelly Loeffler====
Collins has strongly criticized Loeffler for what is perceived to be insufficient conservatism, such as her support by an anti-Trump group.<ref>[https://twitter.com/CollinsforGA/status/1224364335004180480?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Doug Collins on Twitter]</ref>

====Jungle primary results====
In the jungle primary coinciding with all the other 2020 general elections, Collins finished third place behind Loeffler and Democrat [[Raphael Warnock]].<ref>[https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/state/georgia/senate-special-election Senate Special Election: Georgia]</ref> Since no candidate got a majority of the vote, a runoff will be held between the top two, thus Collins being disqualified and losing the election.
