Causes of Homosexuality

Research by the scientific establishment into the causes of homosexuality frequently assumes a philosophy of determinism, treating homosexuality as an identity or orientation which is "formed", rather than a behavior which is chosen.

There has been much work done since the latter part of the 20th century and below are some resources in regards to the various causes of homosexuality.

The hypothalamus, a tiny section of the human brain which controls anger, temperature, fatigue, hunger and thirst and circadian cycles is also responsible for development of the brain. For a reason as yet unknown, different sections of the hypothalamus can recieve different levels of testosterone, the hormone responsible for masculine development. A high level of testosterone in one particular section therefore results in girls becoming "tomboys" with a low level resulting in femininity. A second section causes the development of sexuality, with abnormal levels resulting in homosexuality. It has been alleged that highly illegal - not to mention unethical - medical experiments on fetuses have been carried out in Russia which confirmed this.
