Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey^[1]) is an aging American rock musician.^[2]^[3] A favorite of liberals, he is one of the top selling recording artists of all time.^[4] To the thrill of the lamestream media, Springsteen was critical of a harmless use of one of his songs by Ronald Reagan's campaign in 1984, and Springsteen spoke out against President Bush in 2004. Springsteen campaigned for Obama in 2008.^[5] He is now a high profile advocate for same-sex marriage in New Jersey. ^[6]

His most famous song "Born in the USA" was for a time considered a patriotic song but a closer look at the lyrics showed that is was actually a Vietnam protest song.

"I had a brother at Khe Sanh

Fighting off the Viet Cong They're still there, he's all gone

He had a woman he loved in Saigon I got a picture of him in her arms now"

Khe Sanh refers to a Vietnam battle that was used by antiwar activists to support the notion that the war was unjust.

He played the Super Bowl halftime show in 2009. ^[7]
