The 2014 Midterm Elections begin with the Texas primary on March 4, and continue with a primary or a "runoff" nearly every week somewhere in the United States until Tuesday, September 9th.[1] Soon thereafter early voting begins in some areas, culminating in the general election day on Tuesday, November 4th.
Successful political forecaster Nate Silver says Senate Republicans are now slight favorites to win at least six seats and capture the chamber. [2]

Mark Begich: Three GOP candidates are running to challenge Begich: Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell, Iraq veteran Joe Miller, and State Natural Resources Commissioner Dan Sullivan. April 5th polling, Treadwell (47) Begich (43)

Mark Pryor: Republican Rep. Tom Cotton is the challenger and April 5th polls show a dead heat (46) to (46).

Mark Udall: Two-term GOP Rep. Cory Gardiner will challenge Udall. April 5th polling, Gardiner (40) Udall (42).

Richard Durbin: GOP Jim Oberweis will face Durbin. The establishment has already conceded the race to Democrats. Fellow Illinois liberal Republican Mark Kirk endorses Democrat Dick Durbin. Jon Cornyn held a fundraiser in Illinois and wouldn't give Oberweis any support. [3]

Tom Harkin[1]: Democrat Rep. Mark Braley has declared. Conservative Republican Sam Clovis and former U.S. attorney Matt Whitaker has declared. The GOP establishment chooses liberal Republican Mark Jacobs. Sarah Palin and the Heritage Foundation have endorsed former Iraqi veteran and state Senator Joni Ernst. Al Franken: Franken polls at just 45%. Sarah Palin endorsed Julianne Ortman and is now the frontrunner over establishment Republican Mike McFaden. April 5th polling, Ortman (41) Franken (44).
- Montana
Max Baucus[1]: Obama appointed Baucus as the Ambassador to China. Democrat Lt. Gov. John Walsh was appointed interim Senator and is the 2014 nominee. Republican state representative Steve Daines leads in April 5th polling (51) Walsh (37)

Jeanne Shaheen: Shaheen is poised for reelection in liberal NH. Republican Scott Brown is challenger and is losing by double-digits.

Thad Cochran: Conservative Chris McDaniel, endorsed by Sarah Palin, is challenging Thad in the primaries. May polling has McDaniel beating Cochran 43 percent to 39 percent. [6]

Mike Johanns[1]: Conservative Ben Sasse will challenge the Democrat David Domina. April polling has Sasse (52) Domina (27).
- Oklahoma
Tom Coburn[1]: State Rep. James Lankford is endorsed by the establishment GOP. Sarah Palin has endorsed T.W. Shannon.
- South Carolina
Lindsey Graham; Five GOP challengers have emerged; Nancy Mace, state Sen. Lee Bright (Constitutional Conservative), Richard Cash, Bill Conner, and Christian Pastor Det Bowers. Det Bowers has raised $417,000. since declaring in February. [7]
- Tennessee
Lamar Alexander; Alexander faces Tea Party-endorsed Rep. Joe Carr. Dr. George Flinn is suspected of being a spoiler candidate Alexander brought in to weaken Carr’s chances. Though he barely registers in the polling.
- Texas
John Cornyn: Cornyn will face the winner of the Democrat primaries, anti-Obama and anti-Obamacare Kesha Rogers or multimillionaire dentist David Alameel.
- Wyoming
House
Every seat of the 435 member chamber is up for election. The new term will be the 114th United States Congress.
