Anthony Weiner
Anthony Weiner (born September 4, 1964) is a former U.S. Congressman from the 9th congressional district in New York. He is a liberal Democrat and is infamous for his sharing of sexually explicit photos via the internet. He ran unsuccessfully for mayor of New York City in 2013, losing the democratic primary to Bill de Blasio. His campaign faltered when he was again implicated in an online sex scandal.

Upon receiving his Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1985, Weiner joined the staff of then-congressman and current Senator Chuck Schumer. He worked in Schumer's Washington, D.C. office for three years, then transferred to Schumer's district office in Brooklyn in 1988 when Schumer encouraged him to become involved in local politics.[1] He was then elected to the New York City Council when it was expanded in size.

He married Huma Abedin, a longtime personal aide of Hillary Clinton, in July 2010.

In August 2016, Weiner's Twitter account disappeared after the New York Post reported yet another scandal involving the posting of provocative material.[2]
