The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is a marxist terror organization in Columbia. It has between 18.000 and 43.000 fighters.
History
From 1948, militant conservative, liberal and communist groups fought against each other. In 1964 the Columbian army and the CIA won control over the cities. But , on the 5th May of 1966, the militant communists formed a guerilla organization, called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. A second group was founded under the name Ejército de Liberación Nacional in 1964.
Human rights
The organization became its money from drug trade and extortion. The Farc was often critized because child soldiers are fighting in the conflict.
