Revision as of 03:00, December 23, 2022
Conservative of the Year 2022 has many strong contenders. Please add to or revise this draft list, or comment on the talk page!
Top tier
- Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), for leading against Anthony Fauci, for defeating the corrupt Dropbox Dems in the State of Wisconsin,[1] and for leading on the conservative populism that is the political future.[2]
- JD Vance for leading his very successful America First Senate campaign, and for speaking out against the NATO war in Ukraine despite predictions that it would cost him the election in Ukrainian-populated Ohio.
- Sen. Rand Paul, for voting against the Ukraine aid scam[3] and upholding the Old Right tradition of the Republican Party in opposing reckless war financing, last well-represented by congressman Eugene Siler.
- Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), for leading against perpetuating the NATO war in Ukraine at American expense.
- Peaceful protesters and political prisoners of the DC gulag, unjustly held by the Biden regime without trial for nearly two years.
- Elon Musk, free speech advocate; although not entirely conservative, for purchasing Twitter despite massive opposition from the Left, for encouraging his followers to vote for Republicans, and for unblocking former President Trump and many conservative pages like Babylon Bee.
- Justice Samuel Alito for writing the bold and assertive majority opinion for overturning Roe v. Wade.
- Justice Clarence Thomas for his role in overturning evil Roe v. Wade
- Lee Zeldin, for running a solid campaign, only losing by less than 6 points in a strongly Democrat state, and whose coattails helped the Republicans win the House of Representatives.
- Col. Douglas MacGregor, outspoken critic of globalism and defender of freedom and democracy.
- Donald Trump, for resisting the Deep State as it continues to persecute him. He also went 147 for 158 candidate endorsements to win back the U.S. House of Representatives in to 2022 Midterm elections.[4] However, he has since endorsed Kevin McCarthy as Speaker, which is a sign he has yet more to learn about who to trust in Washington.[1]
- Dinesh D'Souza for producing 2000 Mules movie, and for generously donating to the families brutalized by the Leftist's DC Gulag.
- 2022 Canadian Freedom Convoy protesters for their standing against Trudeau totalitarian regime.
- Kris Kobach for winning as Attorney General of Kansas, in the political comeback of the year
- Harriet Hageman for defeating Liz Cheney in Wyoming
- Tulsi Gabbard for leaving Democrat Party on grounds considerably more impressive than those of Kyrsten Sinema.[2] Also is a leading voice against the War in Ukraine.
- Joe Lombardo for being the only Republican to flip a governorship (Nevada) in the midterms.
- Victor Orban for his big victory in the Hungarian election, and for his moderate stance on Ukraine war.
- Kari Lake, Arizona gubernatorial candidate for challenging naked Democrat election fraud.
Runner-up tier
- Matthew Rosendale, for being the only incumbent member of Congress to have a perfect lifetime score from The New American at the end of the 117th Congress.[3]
- Giorgia Meloni for winning the Italian election, but by the end of the year she more interested in visiting Ukraine than saving Italy[5]
- Greg Abbott for his efforts to secure the borders and stop illegal immigration, and for his big win over Beto O'Rourke
- Marco Rubio for his big victory over Val Demings
- Mike Lawler for his victory over Sean Patrick Maloney
- Glenn Youngkin deserve nomination for his reforms in education and elections laws after assuming the position of governor of Virginia, although his loyalty to Trump is questionable and he may be using law enforcement to go after conservative critics.[4]
- Congressman Chip Roy, for persistently being outspoken in prioritizing denunciations of [5][6] both the Biden Administration and halfhearted establishment Republicans (including Thom Tillis and John Cornyn), particularly as he emphasizes the leading issue of the border crisis and currently plays hardball against the omnibus that will sink the U.S. further into the depraved depths of national debt; however, Roy does not particularly focus on election integrity nor Deep State issues.
- Kyrsten Sinema, although not a true conservative, for abandoning the radical Leftist Democrat Party.
- Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina Mark Robinson for his courage to speak against gay marriage.
- U.S. Supreme Court justices who ruled that Roe v. Wade should be overturned despite previously showing RINO tendencies (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett).
- Federalist Society for playing a vital role in getting Roe v. Wade overturned.
- Ashley Moody, for being the top vote-getter in Florida by a landslide of 61-39% points in her reelection as its Trump-supporting Attorney General
- Marjorie Taylor Greene, CP Conservative of the Year alum who opposed the Ukraine aid/FTX scandal. However, she is an outspoken supporter of Kevin McCarthy for Speaker and has inappropriately compared fellow conservatives to NeverTrumpers for opposing him.[7]
- Sen. Rick Scott, for challenging the failed GOP Senate leadership by globalist, anti-Trump Mitch McConnell, although he did so too late.
- Ron DeSantis, for standing up for Conservative policies, for winning in a historic landslide, and whose House map helped the Republicans win the House of Representatives; but DeSantis failed to help Herschel Walker and thereby was AWOL as Dems retook the U.S. Senate. He also has been incredibly disloyal to President Trump and forged alliances with NeverTrump donors in anticipation for 2024. In addition, he hogged RGA money in order to fund his 2024 war chest, to the detriment of fellow candidates.[8] He also may have resorted to cheating in order to inflate his margin of victory.[9]
