-When I founded Conservapedia, 17 years ago, I did so because I believed the mainstream media was misleading the public. I was wrong. Schaeffer writes that the motivating force behind conservative Christian theology is desire to repress women's sexuality. The only extent to which I disagree with him is that I think he fails to account for the desire to repress the sexuality of non-binary people and men who have sex with men. These perverse fixations of the religious right bring us farther away from God every day.
